Work It Out ~ Bughead

Chapter 23

Betty POV

I woke up still tangled in Jugheads arms he had no shirt on and just his black skinny jeans.Now that there's light in the room I can see his bruised and cut face. I untangle my self from his arms and kiss his cheek. He stirs a bit but then stills and goes to sleep.

I walk into Rydens room and check on him. He was sleeping soundly snuggling into his blanket. I walk out in to the kitchen and decided to make pancakes for me and Jug then get the oatmeal out for Ryden when he wakes up.

Just as I was about to finish making the pancakes Jug walks out off our room with a really bad bed head and still no shirt. He leans on the doorway of the kitchen with his arms crossed.

"Morning. I smelt food."

"Of course you did." I say with a chuckle. I walk over to him and kiss him. I walk back over to the pancakes and finish them and put them on a plate. I hand a plate you Jug then we sit down on the couch and enjoy. When where done I put the plates away and walk back into the living room and sit next to Jug.

"Are you ok?"

"What? Ye why?"

"Well Jug I don't know if you've look in a mirror but.....your face is all cut." I say snuggling into his side as he wraps his arms around me.

"I'm fine. Are you ok after Josh tried to...." before he could finish I cut him off.

"Can we not talk about that please I want to forget it ever happened?"

"Sure. But I am going to kick his ass. Just so you know."

"I knew you would. Even though you where gone for like 4 hours in total I still missed you. I was worried."

"Hey I'm hear. Ok? I'm ok I was worried about you."

Then we hear Ryden begin to cry.
"Someone else has missed you to. I'll go get him" I say kissing Jughead quickly. I walk out and walk into Rydens room.

"Hey Rye." I say picking him up and kissing his head. I walk out into the living room why Ryden looks behind me then I whisper into his ear "Ryden look who's hear." He turns his head to Jughead who's sat on the couch.

"My Dada!" Ryden shouts while clapping and bouncing up and down in my arms.Jughead stands up and walks over to him and takes him off me and hugs him as Ryden hugs him back.

"Hey Rye. I missed you." Jughead says why hugging him Jug then pulls me towards him and brings me and Ryden into a hug.

"I love you two."

"I love you to Jug and I know Ryden dose."

When I pull away I say. "I'm going to feed Ryden." Then Jughead passes Ryden to me.

"I can do it if you want."

"No it's ok I got it." I say giving him a quick peak on the lips

Why I was feeding Ryden and Jug was in the couch watching TV there was a knock at the door. Jughead gets up of the couch and put the remote on the side and went to answer the door.

"Jug you know they make things called shirts?"

"Know why would I where one off them when I know my girlfriend loves seeing my abs and I'm not ashamed of my body?"

"I do love your abs." I say with a chuckle.

Jughead POV
I answer the door and see Polly standing there.

"Oh....Hey Polly. What brings you to the Jones/Cooper house hold?"

"I came to see Betty. Can I ask you a question thought?"

"Sure what's up?"

"Why aren't you wearing a shirt?"

"I said the same thing Polly!" I hear Betty shout from the kitchen.

"Do you want me to start wearing shirts around the house? I will if you want me to!" I shout back to her

"No!" She shouts

"To answer your question Polly. Betty likes seeing me half naked all the time. Come in." I say moving out the door way and letting her in.

Then Ryden comes running in the living room.

"Dada!" He shouts why running into my leg

"Hey bud." I say picking him up and putting him on my shoulders and running round making aeroplane noses with him.

Betty POV

"Wow. He's really good with him isn't he?" Polly says why watching Jughead play stupid games that Ryden seems to enjoy.

"Ye he is. But only when he's hear." I say with a sad excretion

"What do you..." she was cut off by Jug shouting

"Hey Betts I'm going for a shower then I have to go work."

"Ok!" I shout back

I sit down on the couch when Jughead comes out with cloths on.

"I will see you later. Love you." He says then he kisses me and then Ryden on the head and walking out.

Ryden was playing in the floor with his toys why Polly sat on the couch next to me facing me why I faced her. I had showered and changed into grey NYU sweatshirt and dark blue jeans .

"What did you mean when you said that Jugs only good with Ryden when he's hear?"

"Well before Ryden was born Jug only worked on weekdays and from 7:30 to 5:30 but then when Ryden was about 3 months old he started working till later like I mean some times till 11 o'clock at night and now he works weekends as well and yesterday was one off the only days we've spent together in weeks and even then he took Ryden and JB for a walk and didn't want me to come with him." I say as tears start to form in my eyes. "And I feel like he's working late and more to not have to spend time with me and Ryden. And I feel like.....he doesn't love me as much know or that he....doesn't want to be apart of Ryden's life and he still doesn't want anything to do with him." I say beginning to cry Polly pulls me into a hug on the couch

"That can't be it Betty maybe he's..."

I cut her off by saying. "We haven't had sex in 2 months Polly. I feel like he doesn't want me anymore and he finds me repulsive now that I've had Ryden."Polly pulls me tighter into her embrace.

"Ssshhh. It's ok." She says trying to calm me down.

When I'm calm we stay say on the couch and talk and joke like old times until she goes so Jason can have a break from the twins. We that's what she told me. Then I'm left alone again with Ryden. As usual. Not that I'm complaining I love him and playing with him he's the best and sweetest boy ever. But it would be nice to have Jug hear with me.
