Chapter 13

Betty POV- time skip Ryden is 7 months old

Me and Ryden where in his room plying with his stuffed animal he loved Jugs old hat. He never takes the thing off and he has hair just like his dad but he has my eyes . Then Jug came in the door and slammed it shut behind him I put Ryden in his crib to play why I see what is up with Jughead.

"Jug what's wrong?"

"I cant do this anymore."

"What? What are you on about? What can't you do anymore?"

"This! Us!"

"What? What are you talking about?! What happened."

"Nothing. It's it's just..... I can't!"

"Do you want me to leave?" I say trying to keep back my tears

"Yes."

"What about Ryden Jug! What about OUR son! Did you think about him or where you lying when you said you would take care of him!"

"Hey! I care about Ryden it's just you I don't love or want to protect!"

"You know what Jug! I'm done if you don't love me then you don't love Ryden and if you want me to leave I will! But don't think for a second that you will be able to walk in and out of Rydens life when it suits you! So Jug I'm asking you right now if you want to be apart of Rydens life or not?!"

"I..... i.... No! Ok. I never did! I'm just like my dad! And know matter how many times you tell me I'm not him i am! Ok it's just the way it goes in the leader of a gang just like him I look like him I have the same name as him! For fuck sake Betty I got you pregnant the same way my mum got pregnant with me I fucked you because you where there! I didn't care! I'm a fuckup just like my dad was.So I'm giving Ryden the chance to not be fuck like I am!"

"I knew this was to good for me!So Jug that's it?! Just like that? You don't love us anymore?! Or where you lying every time you said that you loved me!"

"No. I don't care! I never did!!"

"Forsythe Pendleton Jones The Third! You are a cowered and a prick to leave your family but if you don't want me or he'll even OUR son then I'm leaving! Ryden doesn't deserve to be raised in a home where he doesn't feel loved! He is everything to me and you know what you could say you only fucked me because I was there but I sure as hell know you cried when you left me and you cried when Ryden was born! But for fuck sake Jug if that means you don't care then fine! Tell me to leave. Tell me you don't want me or Ryden and I will leave!"

"I...I don't want you and I want you to take our mistake and leave."

I slap him across the face and say "You can say what you want about me. You can say I was a worthless one night stand. Or that you don't care! But you will not call MY fucking son a mistake!!! He was not a mistake i would have gotten rid off him if he was but you know what I didn't! And whether you like it or not you helped make him! And I will die before you say he was a mistake or a accident but I full well know deep down somewhere in you you care or cared. And by the way of this is how your cold heart works get that tattoo for me and Ryden covered if this is how you feel about us I want us nowhere near your heart!"

I say storming to mine and Jugs room and packing a bag and the go into Rydens room and see him lying down on his crib looking sad so I pick him up and hold him close to me. "Its ok Ryden. It's ok." I feel him and packed him some stuff in my bag for him. I walk into the living room with Ryden in one arm and he bag in my other. Jughead was gone. I was walking to the door when Sweet-Pea burst threw the door with a gun in his hand.

"Betty are you ok? I heard yelling. I just got off the phone with Jug he's on his way."

"Yes Sweet-Pea I'm find. Put the gun away. And I was shouting at Jug he was being a prick he stormed in and said he couldn't do it anymore and told me to take Ryden and leave."

"What? Betty Jughead has been at the garage all day with Nuke?"

"Sweet-Pea he was hear 5 minutes ago?"

"Look at this if you don't believe me hear." He says handing me his phone with the CCTV footage of the garage for the past 40 minutes and there Jug was fixing a car until he picks up the phone and starts shouting to make sure she's ok. Then he runs out with Nuke and rids off.

I sit on the couch and hold Ryden close to me as he rests his little head on my shoulder. Then Jughead comes bursting threw the door with Nuke.

"Betty!" He says walking over to me and wrapping his arms round me and Ryden

"Baby tell me what happened."

"I don't know anymore Jug you well I thought it was you came in the door and then told me you you didn't love me and wanted me to leave and ........ and ...... then he called Ryden a mistake." I say begin to cry.

"Shit!" He says standing up

"Why the fuck is Josh back in town! Get me Malachai I want a word with why he sent my brother to fuck with my family." He shouts as Nuke and Sweet-Pea run out.

Than he turns to me and takes Ryden off of me and goes and puts him in the crib to nap. When he comes back he raps his arms around me and holds me tight and whispers comfort into my ear as I sob into his chest.

When I calm down he talks.

"Betts that wasn't me. Ok I will always love you and Ryden isn't a mistake. He is one of the best things to ever happen to me."

"If it wasn't you Jug who was it?"

"That was Josh..... my older twin brother. He turned to the Ghoulies and has been working with them ever since. He's Forsythe Pendleton Jones The Second after my dad."

"Jug I'm....." I was cut off by a sound from Rydens room Jug pushes me behind him and we begin to walk to the room. When we open the door we see Josh holing Ryden who is sleeping in his arms sat on Rydens rocking chair in he middle of the room facing the door.
