Chapter 29

Betty POV

I was at home sat on the couch I had just put Ryden to bed. Jug was gone for a lot longer then he usually is. Then he walked int he door with our food "Hey Betty. I got the food."

"Thank god I'm starving!" I say I walk over to him and give him a peak on the lips it was weird thought it didn't taste like Jughead. Jughead tastes off cigarettes and mint but just then it tasted of mint and beer and I know Jug would never drink and drive and he didn't drink before he left. As I pull away I just stand there thinking then he says "you ok?" "What? Yes I'm fine just tired." We eat and then when where done Jughead starts kissing me he lay on top of me on the couch and then after about a minute I pull away "Jug we cant."

"What why?"

"Because one in to tired to and two I'm on my period anyway."

"Oh ok." Why dose he sound annoyed? I just decided he was in a bad mood and let it slide I went to bed and so did Jug but agin something felt off he had his shirt on? Come on Betty this is all in your head calm down. I didn't snuggle into him though i did at first but then I pretended to move in my sleep and moved off him he was uncomfortable for some reason. I decided to just leave it and go to sleep.

Jughead POV

I saw everything on the laptop Josh walked in and kissed Betty when she pulled away she looked worried. Then she just said she was tired they eat in silence and after that they started kissing it was hard to watch but after a minute she pulled away and said they couldn't do anything because she was tired and on her period which I knew was a lie because she literally just finished because for the past week I've had to get her hot water bottles for her cramps and stuff like that which i didn't mind doing for her. I could tell she knew something was up. But the give away was that she rolled of off him and hugged the pillow instead. I just wish I could do something. Then the door at the top off the stairs opened and a youngish looking lad came down with food on a tray. He had short blond hair and a Ghoulie jacket on.

"Hey." He said

"Hey."

"I'm not supposed to talk to you but I'm supposed to be in charge of looking after you. I'm Adam by the way but people call me Ad"

"Jughead." He looses my arms so I can eat and sits next to me as I eat. When I'm done he unties my hands and pulls me so I'm stood up but my feet are still strapped to the chair. He cuffs my hands behind my back and shackles my feet then unties them. He leads me to a door in the corner off the room he unlocked it and there was a corridor we walk down past 2 cells which had steel doors and a tiny window in he unlocked the 3 cell unshackled my feet and shoot the door he opened he little flap in the door and undid my cuffs. I look around the cell there was a single bed and a metal sink/toilet and that was it I lay on the bed and shut my eyes just hoping Betty was ok. This was basically a makeshift jail the Ghoulies run it was hell but I'm just glad Josh doesn't get to touch Betty.
