"No! Please! I can't go through this again!" I scream.
"Sweetheart, you have no choice." Hunter sweetly says.
I spit in Hunters face and caught him off guard. So, he let go of me and I took off running toward my dorm. But he soon catches up and stabs my back then turns me around and stabs me in the heart. I started screaming from pain. This is it. I knew it would end this way. ----------------------------------------------------------- "Alexandra! Wake up! Everything is ok." I wake up hearing Newt say.
He notices I am crying and gives me a hug.
He pulls away soon after. "Wanna talk about it?" He asks.
"I uh, I just had a nightmare about Hunter kidnapping me again." I answer.
"Oh, um, if you don't mind can you tell me about when you got kidnapped?" He shyly asks.
"Oh, um, sure." I say.
I start telling him the story, my story from the beginning to the end. By the end I am in tears.
"Wow, Alexandra. You went through a lot. I'm happy you got out of it though. You may have some scars but at least you are safe now." Newt comforts. Or at least tries.
"Yeah, I guess." I say looking into my lap.
"Have you had these nightmares a lot?" He asks.
"I did for a while after I got out of that situation. But they stopped. Tonight is the first time in a while. I was in therapy for a while, then I started to find it stupid because it wasn't helping at all. The person only wanted me to keep telling her my story." I answer.
"Oh." He says.
"Well, I'm up and hungry now." I say.
"I'm a bit hungry too. There is an all night restaurant down the road. We could go if you'd like." He says.
"Sure, I'm gonna get a shower first." I say while getting up heading to my closet.
"Alright, well I'm going to do the same actually." He says then leaves the room.
I grab my clothes and head to the bathroom in my room. I turn the shower on and undress.
I catch a glimpse of myself in the body mirror and see my scars that I have from Hunter and his people, I guess you could call them that. I am tired of seeing these scars. Amelia used to tell me that these scars represent me being a warrior. But I should have never gotten these scars in the first place.
I get in the shower then get out soon after and get dressed.
I blow dry my hair then straighten it, then put light make up on.
Before I leave out of my room I put my sandals on and grab my purse.
I walk into the living room and Newt is sitting on the couch waiting for me.
"Ready?" He asks.
I nod and we head out. Since the restaurant is down the road we decide to walk.
"So, I have been having problems in my math class. Do you think you could help me with it sometime?" Newt asks.
"Sure, since today we don't have class and I don't have anything until about 11 this morning, I could help you today." I say.
"Yeah, that's fine. I actually have nothing to do today." He says.
"Well, my friends and I are going to the beach after I help you with math. You could come if you want." I say.
"Sure, that will be great. Better than sitting at the dorm all day." He says.
I laugh as we walk in and all heads in the room turn to us.
"Hi! My name is Sheila. What could I get for you two?" She happily says.
It is 5 in the morning and she is so happy. Wow.
"Uh, I will have 3 waffles with strawberries on top. Oh, and 3 eggs to go with it. To drink I would like some coffee with creamer in it please." I say all in one breathe.
"I will have 2 waffles and 3 eggs. To drink I would like to have some coffee and creamer to go with it please." Newt says.
"You are gonna eat all of that?" Newt says when the lady walks away.
"Yeah, I guess I am." I say.
"If I didn't know better I'd think you'd be pregnant." Newt jokingly says.
"Ha, no. I'm just really hungry." I say laughing.
Before we could talk any further the waitress comes back with our food and coffee. I immediately start eating. Neither of us talked until we finished eating.
"So, when we head back to the dorm can we stop by the store to get some gummies?" I ask.
"Yeah, sure." He says while laughing. ----------------------------------------------------------- I go in and get the gummies then we head back to the dorm.
