"So, I thought about what you said earlier. I have my things packed. I'm about to ride the bus." Newt says walking in the living room, with his bags in his hands.
"Great. You can ride with Amelia and I. You will be stuck in the back, you know how she is, she hates it in the back." I say happily.
"Uh, sure. I just don't want to inconvenience y'all." He says.
"You won't. You are always welcomed." I say and smile at him. "Lets get our things in the truck, Amelia is meeting us at the truck."
"So, this is going to be a tight squeeze Newt." I say while lifting up the seat so he can get in the back.
"Beats having to sit on a bus the entire trip." He says.
As I start the truck I remember Amelia had a boyfriend. What happened to that?
"Uh, Amelia, what happened to your boyfriend? He didn't go with us to go clubbing." I question.
"I told you that day he and I broke up." She says. Did she? Oh yeah! I remember now. As if she see's that I remember now, she continues talking.
"You'll never find the right person without going through the bad first." She answers while smiling at me.
Well then, that is so true. I should have ate before leaving. I will start feeling sick to my stomach after awhile if I don't stop somewhere.
"I did not eat before we left so I'm about to find a diner to eat at." I say, then immediately see one. I turn in and someone almost hits me.
"Okay, just don't get us killed." Newt says while laughing.
"What? She is going to get us killed?" Amelia pipes in.
"Well, you was not paying attention to know exactly what is going on. Come on, lets eat." I say getting out the truck.
"Is this place even open? It is 12 o'clock." Amelia says.
"It's an all night diner. We should be in Valencia around 5. So, when we get there we will get a motel room for a few hours so we can sleep until time to go to the college." I say explaining to them.
"We can take turns driving Alexandra. So that you don't have to drive the entire time." Newt says.
"Y'all two can have at it, I really don't like driving on the interstate." Amelia says.
We all go inside and order our food. This is going to be real far away from home. I'm going to miss all the good memories. But I will be happy to be away from all that lies in my past.
