"So, how was your first day?" Mason comes up to me excitedly at lunch.
"It's not over yet, but it was good." I answer.
"Well, I would sit here and talk with you, but I need to go to the library." Mason says.
I nod then turn back toward Amelia and Newt. They are both giving me a weird look.
"Why do y'all keep giving me them looks?" I ask.
"Well..... Mason likes you." They both say in unison.
"No he doesn't." I say. He just met me so there is no way he likes me.
"Oh trust me, he does, and I think you two would make a great couple." Amelia says.
I roll my eyes at her and start eating again. I just see Mason being friendly toward me. If he really does like me, then it will come out soon or later.
Soon after Mason leaves he walks through the lunch doors and starts walking toward us. Amelia and Newt are still having a conversation about him liking me.
"Hush, Mason is coming back." I whisper to them.
"He should know we know!" Amelia whisper screams.
"No he shouldn't." I say to her. She rolls her eyes at me then her and Newt start talking about how college food is better than high school food.
They look up at me and immediately have a grin on there face. Oh no. They are not bringing me in this conversation. It is all the same. Food is food.
"So, Amelia, I was wondering. Do you, would you like to go to the cafe down the street tonight for dinner? Of course your friends are invited." Mason asks nervously.
"I am busy studying tonight." Amelia says.
"You never study." I laugh.
"I do now. Remember, we have a change." She says.
"I do study, and that is what I am going to do. So, I'll just order something." Newt says.
"Well, I don't have anything to do tonight. So, sure." I say smiling at Mason.
"Great. How about 7?" Mason asks sitting down beside me.
I nod and continue eating. I look down at my phone and it is already one.
"Well, time for me to go. See y'all later." I say. Then grab my stuff and walk away.
So, dinner with Mason tonight. Should be fun.
