"Where am I taking you?"

"What do you mean where are you taking me?" she asked bitterly. She knew she couldn't go to a hospital without drawing attention to the previous events of the alley, but she sure as hell wasn't going back home. "Just leave me alone."

"Not yet. You have something I want."

"Is it another kick to your shin? Cause I'll be more than happy to give that to you."

He tugged her on a sharp right turn through another narrow alley and groaned. "You're a little prick. Just tell me what's on the paper."

"It's none of your fucking business--"

Before she could breathe in, he had her pinned to the brick behind her. His pressure on her stomach gave her unbearable jolts of pain, but she refused to let him see it. Two dark, shallow eyes stared back at her.

"Do you know who I am?" he demanded.

His fucking audacity. "I know who you are, asshole. And I'm not scared of you." She reached up and threw his arm off forcefully. He let go, but didn't let down his glare. His eyes continued to pierce her. "For years, everyone and their families has mostly stayed out of each others' way. Let's keep it that way....Jeon Jungkook."

She needed to show she wasn't scared. And using his name, without formalities or permission was the way to do it.

Within seconds, he had her by the neck of her shirt.

"Don't you dare!" he growled. She gulped down the uneasiness he gave her. He threw her back down from his grip, sending her sprawling on the ground and gasping in pain. For a split second, she caught him looking back before walking away.

Jungkook had finally given up on the paper, but it wasn't over for her. It wasn't over until she said it was. Nobody got away with that disrespect, not a Bearclove member, or a Letchner member, or in this case, a Bangtan member. She wouldn't give in to someone even if nobody in the city would ever dare to pick a fight with them.

"I'm from Letchner!" she called out. She knew the name would grab his attention, so she waited until he promptly turned around. "You wanna take me somewhere, you wanna negotiate, do as you please. But I was a Letchner associate. And I'm not going back." She scoffed. "I think you can understand why."

He started back towards her, his aggression dripping away and glossed over with curiosity. "What type of associate?"

"A supplier," she answered. "But Letchner couldn't find the difference between his wife and his supplier. Sick pervert....I don't do that shit with." She reached up confidently, and he pulled her up immediately. "So, you wanna know how the fuck I ended up here? You want information? Get me stitched up and make sure I don't ever see the Letchner's again, and I'll do what you want."

He looked confused. "We can't kill the Letchner's. That's a death wish."

"I'm not asking for them to disappear, no matter how much I wish they could." They started back down the alley again to wherever Jungkook was leading. "I'm asking for a way to never see them again. If you can use your ties as a Bangtan member....maybe you could.....find me a new family."

Jungkook looked lost in thought. His resting face was cold, his eyes and jaw tight. "Bangtan doesn't associate with other families."

She was quick. "Then I won't associate with yours." She stopped and fluttered the card mockingly in the air.

Jungkook groaned with exasperation. She knew he wasn't shameless enough to kill her for it. He just had to take the offer.

"Fine, Prick." He gestured for her to follow him again. "We're going to see Monster."
