Jungkook shut the door behind him, only to look up and freeze. Jimin was right in front of him, his mouth gaping.

"Jimin, I--"

Jimin shook his head and pointed to his bedroom down the hall. "Get over here. Now."

Jungkook swore under his breath and walked into Jimin's bedroom. He heard Jimin follow and shut the door behind him.

"What are you doing? Freaking out on her because you're put on probation?" he scolded. "Are you trying to get her to mistrust us? We need her information, Jungkook, that why she's fucking here."

"She doesn't mistrust us," Jungkook commented. "She just hates me. But see if I care."

Jimin sighed. "If you want Monster to treat you like an adult, you have to act like one. You do realize that, right? Holding grudges like this is immature."

Jungkook looked at the floor. Jimin was his best friend, and he sure knew how to keep Jungkook in check. Dammit. He felt ashamed.

"Sorry, Jimin," he said quietly.

"Ack, it's okay." Jimin smiled weakly. "I mean, I'm not the one you need to apologize to."

Jungkook groaned. "I actually have to tell that prick I'm sorry? Isn't that a little childish, too?"

Jimin crossed his arms triumphantly. "I'm not telling you to do anything. I could care less if you're nice to her. But don't be an idiot and target her because of some stupid grudge. She's not gonna be here forever. Either get over it and help out or just keep your distance." He shrugged. "I'd prefer the former, but as long as you're not doing whatever that was back there, I don't care."

Jungkook thought it over. He didn't want Miyeon to take advantage of any of them. And no matter how many times she told him she was in no position to lie, she could always turn against them. But maybe there was another less aggressive way to prevent any of that from happening.

"C'mon," Jimin said, starting towards the door. "You can't go out, but at least help us plan the Marcono run-up."

Jungkook smirked. "My pleasure."

"He's on 83rd and West. Or at least that's where he was when I delivered his package."

Jungkook looked at the city map they had on the table. There were lines and writing all over it, marking which parts of the city belonged to which gangs, where other mafia hideouts were, etc. Marcono wasn't too far away. He must have been stupid to think he could get away with not paying for long.

"How are you guys getting there?" he asked.

Taehyung leaned back in his chair and folded his hands behind his head. "Splitting up and going on foot. We're meeting a block before his place."

Jungkook nodded. It was a simple rule: never travel more than a few blocks in a pack if you're going by foot. Too suspicious.

"What weapons are we thinking?" Hoseok asked. "Yoongi said he wouldn't put up much of fight, but I wouldn't mind a little fun." He smiled hungrily. "He's late with my money."

"Our money," Jimin teased, "and nothing with bullets in it. This fight won't be worth shots."

Hoseok clapped his hands together. "Bat will have to do."

At sunset, it was their time to go. Jungkook watched them enviously; their hoods pulled up, weapons concealed, and smiles laced with sin. He thought about grabbing his pocket knife and bursting out the door behind them, chasing along anyway, but Monster beat him to it.

"Don't even think about it." He shut the front door behind them, leaving Jungkook to stare at the wall between him and all of the fun he was missing.

He let out an exaggerated groan. "Monster, what do you want me to do? I'll do anything to get this probation off!"

"Funny you should mention!" Jin walked up behind Monster, grinning. "I have some business to attend to tonight, so looks like we need someone to administer Miyeon's meds."

Monster chuckled, but Jungkook only scowled. "Why can't Yoongi do it?"

"How do I put this gently...?" Jin pretended to think for a moment. "Yoongi would probably kill her by mistake."

"And you think I wouldn't? Not by mistake?"

"Har har," Jin mocked. "I'll explain how to do it, just get it done before she goes to sleep."

Jungkook turned to Monster, who seemed fairly amused by the situation. "So if I take care of her...no more probation?"

"We'll see," Monster replied smugly. Jin laughed and the two walked away.

Jungkook was left alone. As much as he wanted to sulk around about his new duties, he thought back to Jimin's words. Maybe it was time to suck it up and act like an adult if he ever wanted to get back in the field.

He took one last look at the front door, silently wishing his friends well, before walking away. Alone.
