"Is she occupied?"
"Yeah." Jungkook took a seat at the kitchen table, kicking his feet up to land right in front of Hoseok's nose. "I gave her some book she said she'd read. She promised to not come out of the room until we came back home."
"I'm so grateful she has manners," Hoseok said sweetly, proceeding to throw Jungkook's feet off the table to the floor. "Though she clearly didn't learn from you."
Before Jungkook could retort, Monster laid out a map in front of the six of them on the table, two large circles highlighting two locations.
"The spot I circled on the right is a smaller warehouse." His finger traced gently over the map. "Trusting that Letchner is still as angry as he was after the first attack, he'll be desperate to catch whoever is doing this, so the diversion there doesn't have to be elaborate. Just enough to draw him in."
The boys at the table nodded their heads in understanding, so Monster's hand moved to the next circle. "This marks the Letchner residence. It will be our second place of attack."
Jungkook withheld a gasp. Miyeon's home.
"To the team I place there, it's very simple. You don't hold back. Burn it to the ground and get back home. There's nothing we nee in there, and any resources he has would be burned down, too. An easy job as long as the initial diversion goes as planned."
Jungkook understood every instruction, but for some reason he felt uncomfortable with it. This was Miyeon's home, the place she slept and ate and lived. The place she grew up in.....
And the place she was abused in, the place she was trapped in as her parents became monsters, the place she constantly ran from in hopes of escaping.
He shook his head to wipe the uneasiness out. They would not be burning down Miyeon's home. They would be burning down her prison.
Besides, she has a new home now.
Monster began rolling the map up. "For the first diversion at the warehouse, it will be myself, Hoseok, and Yoongi."
Hoseok smiled cheerfully and turned to face Yoongi across the table, holding his hand up for a high five. "Aw, yeah, the dream team returns."
Yoongi rolled his eyes and obliged to the high five, but when Hoseok made contact, Jungkook watched him seethe and flinch back.
"Woah, you okay?" Jungkook asked. The rest of the table had seen the reaction and awaited an answer.
Yoongi swore under his breath, grabbing his right wrist with his left hand. "I'm fine, I don't know what the fuck I did to my wrist though. It's been bothering me for days though, fucking annoying."
"There should be pain medication in the bathroom sink cabinet downstairs," Hoseok said. "Just bring some with you in case in hurts during the job."
Yoongi nodded. "Alright, alright, thank you, don't worry about it. Continue, Monster."
"That leaves Taehyung, Seokjin, and Jungkook on the residence job." Jungkook caught Monster's stern and obvious look at him. "A simple job. No way to mess it up."
Jungkook looked this feet to avoid his face flushing. The guilt from the last job rushed back, but he knew he deserved it. It was his time to prove better.
They all began to migrate to the front door, passing supplies and planning their routes for the jobs. Seokjin threw a jacket at Jungkook.
"You ready to go?"
