Jungkook opened his bedroom door. He didn't know how long he had been in there, he didn't want to know. The whole place reeked of distress. He was tired of rubbing his eyes. He just had to go.
Nobody but Jin was in the living room, staring out the window. He assumed everyone else was off finding ways to distract themselves until Monster found his solution.
If he finds a solution...
Jungkook shook his head to clear the bad thoughts out. He just focused on the room, watching Jin stare into nothing.
"I'm going out."
Jin stood up from his seat at the window and stepped towards Jungkook. "No, we'e not doing this." His expression was already cold. "This isn't how we're going to deal with to deal with things. I know you're upset. We all are."
His jaw shut tightly for a moment. Jungkook held the contact of his icy eyes. Maybe it was all of the sadness he had just pushed through, but Jin's words ran through him like electricity, sparking up nothing but frustration.
"You can't go out there and....fuck this up."
Red hot anger bubbled in Jugnkook's stomach. "'Fuck this up?' What the fuck is your problem, Jin?"
"Jungkook, this just isn't the time for going and doing something without a plan, we can't be impulsive anymore," Jin continued. "I'm sorry, it's just every chance you take is a chance on her life."
Jungkook scoffed. A bad taste was in his mouth. "You think I don't know that?"
"I think you know enough." Jungkook could see Jin's throat swallow hard. He looked frustrated, too. "Enough information. Enough to go out and do something stupid."
"Are you saying I shouldn't deserve to know what I know?"
"No, just listen, Jungkook, please."
Jin's hand took Jungkook's shoulder. It was meant to be a comforting move, Jungkook knew that, so why did Jungkook want to rip it off?
Jin looked into his eyes. "You need to wait until a plan is set, then we'll all go out and find her. You won't get far alone."
Jin looked stressed. This close up, Jungkook noticed his disheveled hair, the bags under his eyes, the dryness of his lips. It was written all over him; he was just as terrified as Jungkook. For a second, Jungkook felt less alone.
"I need you to just be mature right now, Jungkook."
And then the second was over. Something snapped in Jungkook, he didn't know what. But Jin looked just as scared, probably felt just as depressed, knew just how heartbroken they'd be if anything happened to Miyeon.....
So why was he making Jungkook feel so fucking childish for feeling the same way?
"After all of this, after fucking evertyhing you still treat me like a fucking child!"
Jungkook's hands landed on Jin's chest before he could think about it. Jin was thrown back.
"Jungkook what the fuck--"
"You think I can't be mature?" Jungkook felt it all unraveling again, just like in the bedroom earlier. "You think I haven't tried so fucking hard? I can't even breathe easily! I've lost two people I love!"
Fuck. The room was blurring up. He couldn't be crying again.
"Jungkook, of course I know, but you're acting impulsive!' Jin's voice was just as strong. Jungkook felt slightly stupid for becoming a mess all over again in front of him, but he didn't care.
