Chapter 25

Eunice's POV

[Fast Forward |•One Week Later•|]

Nagising ako ng may kumatok sa pinto.

"Yah! Zaine! Wake up! I've been calling you for the 7th time already!!" sigaw ni Luke mula sa labas.

"Yes I'll just follow!"

Bumangon na ako at inayos ang higaan, pagkatapos ay ginawa ang morning rituals ko. Few minutes pass I'm done. Lumabas na ako ng kwarto at pumuntang kusina. Nadatnan ko si Luke doon naghanda ng pagkain.

"Good Morning Zaine." He greeted

"Yeah, morning" I answered

"Have a seat."

Umupo ako at hinintay syang matapos. Ilang sandali umupo na siya. We started eating SILENTLY.  Yes we're always like this. We only talk if it's necessary. I know it's quite awkward, but... Aissshh! I don't know.

"Ahhh.. Zaine.."

"Yeah?"

"Its.. It's been a week already since we live together.. And... Until now... It's awkward.. I'm sure you feel the same way.. Aren't you?"

"You're r-right.." I said while nodding ..

"I understand you're against this marriage."

"Yes I am Luke."

"Can you tell me why? Don't worry, I'm on your side no matter what happens. I'm not gonna tell Dad. You know? I just wanna comfort you. I guess you're carrying a big trouble right now."

"Nothing Luke, let's just focus on this marriage"

"Haays, Ok.. But can we act as friends? I mean a real friend? Can we?"

"Of course!"

"Hahaha great! Let's end this awkward atmosphere"

"Yeah."

"And lastly, Zaine.. You can tell me your problem if you can't endure it. I'm willing to listen."

I looked at him.. I can see his sincerity, but I can't just trust him right away.

"Thanks Luke."

I know Luke is a nice guy. But I just can't dictate my heart to love him.

After we finished, I'm the one who clean up the dining. He went to his room to fix himself. I'm always thinking of Mark. What was his reaction when he found out that I left him? I already miss that jerk so much.

Pagkatapos ko dumiretso ako sa kwarto ko, nakasalubog ko siya.

"Kwarto muna ako.." paalam ko

"What's new? HAHAHA"

I just smiled and went to my room. Humiga ako sa kama at naisipan kong mag browse ng photos. I was looking at our photos.

"How are you baby boy? Have you been well? I miss you. Kung kaya ko lang baguhin ang tadhana ginawa ko na. I will always love you Mark."

I sighed. I was about to put my phone on the side table but it rings. I check the caller ID. Luke? what's wrong with this guy?

[ON THE PHONE]

Me: Luke?

Luke: Come down, Daddies are on their way here.

Me: What the?! Tumawag ka lang para diyan? di ka nalang pumunta dito?
