As soon as the teen got home he went straight to his bedroom to read the letter.

Jack I want going to tell you who I am but I found out what happened from overhearing a conversation. I'm really sorry for your loss and I know what it feels like because I lost my little sister last year. My advice to you is to keep strong. Keep strong for me and Mrs Barnsley and everyone around you and I am happy to give you a hug if you need one. I am happy to calm you or comfort you like the time I did when the supply scared the death out of everyone at the school because, me, Zach Herron would do anything for you, Jack Avery because I Love you.

The news hit Jack hard. Zach Herron was in love with him and as much as he wanted to get close to the boy, he knew that he couldn't and the realisation hit him like a bombshell.

If he got close to this boy, one of them, or potentially both of them, could get hurt.

Jack didn't want the one person he loved the most to get hurt like everyone else who had gotten close enough.

*trigger warning*

Jack promised himself he would never become close to anyone he wasn't related to. He wished for Zach's safety if he was somehow forced to become close to the boy.

He cut.

One cut for being mute.

One cut for killing his mum.

One cut for falling in love.

One cut for hurting everyone.

Mrs Barnsley came in to the bathroom as Jack was cutting his final cut for being gay. She screamed and let tears escape her eyes.

"Why Jack, why?" She asked, pulling the blade that the teen had heavily relied on for so long and wiped the dripping blood off it before tending to the boy's wounds.

She looked at the old scars on his arms which she as Assumed he had got from his many surgeries.

"Jack please, why didn't you talk to me," she bandaged up his arms, tears still pouting down her face. Jack was ashamed.

*trigger warning over*

"You can't keep going like this, Jack." She took his hands into hers. "I'm going to book you in for therapy." Jack look up at the woman who was looking aimlessly at the wall. She looked to him. And their eyes met.

"I can't loose you Jack. I can't loose you like I lost my husband. Like I lost my son who would be your age now."

Tears were streaming down both of their faces. "Your all I have left. Please stay strong for me."

The only people who knew that Zach's mom was a therapist, we're Corbyn and Jonah. Zach didn't want to get teased at school for it. (not that he would anyways)

"Zach, you'll have to come with me," Myta called to the boy who didn't want to come to work with his mother.

Zach sighed, giving up in the situation completely. "Okay, I'll come." He grabbed the book he was currently reading and tracked his way to the car.

The pair walked into the room where his mother held group therapy sessions.

"Okay, we need a circle of sixteen chairs. I'll do eight you do eight. Let's go," they got straight to work, getting out the chairs, the balls, the rug, the juice and cups.

Zach put a bean bag at the back of the room and made himself comfortable,  before opening his book.

The therapy children walked in one by one. Zach looked up from his book as each kid walked in, not recognising anyone.

He didn't notice the last person to walk in until he looked up about halfway through the session. He didn't see his face exactly, but he knew that it was him from the movements he made and, the biggest giveaway of them all, his hair.

Zach's Crush; the boy he fell in love with, was here. In the place that only the most troubled kids go to.

If Zach realised he was going through this much, he wouldn't have put more on the boy's plate by sending him those letters.

All he wanted to do was to help him in the only way he knew. To hold him when he needed it the most. To look out for him.

A/n sorry this chapter was so crappy. Thanks sooooo much for 1k reads it means the world to me ❤
