(a/n): there is a scene here that reads out an anxiety attack(at least my own that i've experienced). if you're uncomfortable reading these, stop at "minhee didn't answer" and continue at "the only sounds."
"wh-what's that..." minhee stuttered, pointing at the handle. "is that... the door handle?!"
jeongguk rolled his eyes. "no it's the sink."
too busy with the panic settling in her chest, minhee pushed jeongguk out of the way and tried prying the door open, digging her fingers into the small crack in the doorway and soon failing miserably.
"do you have your phone on you?" minhee gasped.
jeongguk checked his jean pockets. "no, sorry. it's probably in my hoodie."
minhee cursed aloud. she started pounding on the door shouting for help.
"hello!! help!!! someone, please help!"
"minhee, i don't think they'll hear you; the door is thick as jimin's thighs."
"i don't care!!! help me! please help! we're trapped!!" minhee started screaming now.
"minhee, calm down!! we'll just wait until they realize it's locked!" jeongguk said, putting a hand on her shoulder.
"they'll realize it the next week, when we'll both be here as skeletons, rotting inside."
"we can be skeletons holding hands though," jeongguk winked.
minhee turned around. "the only thing i'll be holding is your neck." she hissed.
"yikes."
minhee gave up in her attempt to plead for help and her breathing became unstable. her vision became hazy as she felt her legs becoming numb. jeongguk, slightly worried, ran to her side.
"w-woah, what's up with you?" jeongguk asked, putting his hands on her shoulder to help stabilize her.
minhee didn't answer, but started to breathe even faster, mumbling phrases that were inaudible to jeongguk. he then realized she was beginning to have an anxiety attack.
"okay, minhee, calm down, deep breaths, don't focus on anything else except your breathing," jeongguk murmured, clasping her shoulders slightly tighter.
minhee, though her hearing was slightly fuzzy, could make out "deep breaths, breathing" and started to inhale a large amount of oxygen.
she started to slide down the door and felt her body becoming numb as she leaned on jeongguk for support.
"focus on me, focus on me, minhee." jeongguk said, turning her towards him.
from her tears, she could see a blurry jeongguk and his serious expression as she continued her breathing.
the only sounds that were heard from the tight spaced bathroom were minhee's shallow and heavy breathing, along with her sniffs and hiccups.
moments of minutes went by as minhee's breathing became on track again as she fell towards jeongguk, still hiccuping.
jeongguk, startled but then smiled lightly, began to her sooth her by rubbing her back.
"...spaces." minhee murmured.
"hm?
"tight spaces." minhee said more clearly.
jeongguk raised his eyebrows, feeling his shirt getting a bit soaked.
"tight spaces... make me," she hiccuped. "n-nervous."
he hummed in reply. "i see."
continuing to her rub her back, jeongguk felt her weight heave on him as he heard soft breathing. he looked down and saw minhee's eyes closed.
he guessed the scenario from earlier made her tired.
