Hello everyone, Astaroth here.
In monsters, as a general rule, there's a principle which could be called the 'rule of the strong'.
As this name implies, it means the weaker monsters bow down to the stronger monsters, and they, in turn, bow down to the monsters stronger than them, and so forth, until we eventually reach the top.
There are a few exceptions to this--Kobolds, for example, view each other as members of a pack, regardless of strength differences--but in general, as a result of these instincts, you can intimidate monsters into doing what you want them to do as long as you're stronger than them.
Intimidation is one of the tactics I use to rule my monsters, unsurprisingly.
"Ahem", I cleared my throat rather forcefully. "Evyna, what was that about the Ice Queen?", I asked, a rather crude attempt at simply glossing over the situation.
The crudeness was not helped by the fact that Lady Entropy hid behind my back.
"Ah, uh, the, the Ice Queen came, came over to, to visit, but, but you were, weren't here, so the Ghost M, Maids and I, uh, received her, but she felt your, your presence, so now she wants you to, to meet her as soon as, as possible--wait, not that! What are you, are you doing here, Miss, Miss Goddess of Darkness?"
"My servant was, injured, so, I checked, on him. That's, only natural, isn't it?", she answered. Because she was hiding behind my back, she was not terribly convincing.
"But--", began Evyna, before being interrupted by Lady Entropy.
"It's only natural, isn't it?", she insisted, showing no intention of backing down.
"But--", Evyna began again.
"It's only natural, indeed", I interrupted.
"If, if you say so", she eventually conceded, though she didn't look entirely convinced.
Looking around, I quickly reached the conclusion that nigh everyone was on their knees, presumably out of respect for Lady Entropy. The few exceptions were me, Lady Entropy herself, Evyna, the Kobold--which was still trying to hide itself, and it hadn't gotten any better at it--and, somewhat to my surprise, my Demon Generals.
I decided to pay the surroundings no mind as I proceeded inside. "Then, Evyna, take me to the Ice Queen", I said, and unsurprisingly, the Demon Generals and the Kobold followed behind me.
"I didn't know y'were so close t' the Goddess, Master", Lilith said, showing not a hint of delicacy and stubbornly refusing to read the mood. "But I've gotta say, ya've got good taste. She's real pretty, ain't she? 's that all-natural, or are ya usin' make-up?" Even towards Lady Entropy, Lilith did not gain any kind of formal tone.
Lady Entropy's pointy ears wiggled faintly in response to the praise, presumably in lieu of facial proof of happiness, but she tilted her head at Lilith's question. "... Make-up? I am, a Goddess. I can, look, however, I want to. I don't, need, things, like that."
"Even the lines on yer face are natural, then?", Lilith followed up.
"That is quite enough, Lilith, it is ill-mannered to pry", Charlotte cut in, much to Lilith's disappointment. "Please forgive her rudeness, Lady Entropy", she continued, addressing Lady Entropy.
"I don't, particularly, mind", she answered.
"Uh... Lady Entropy, can I ask a question?", Davna asked, showing an uncharacteristic display of manners.
