Hello everyone, Astaroth here.

As it turned out, that ability to read Lady Entropy's mood from her ears was rather incredible.

Even if other people were faced with the same movements, after all, they wouldn't be able to tell a thing from them.

At the same time, that situation is rather similar to how it already was, so it's not like much had changed.

"... Astaroth", Lady Entropy said on the way to her room.

"What is it, Lady Entropy?", I replied.

"... That dog. What will, you, do, with it?"

"Ah, the Kobold, is it?", I said, nodding to myself. "Well, judging from its reactions so far, giving it tough training will only lead to adverse effects... If possible, I'd like for it to perhaps evolve into a High Kobold or a Kobold Chief, but..."

"Not, the future. Right now. What, will, you do?"

"... Right now?", I asked, slightly puzzled.

She nodded, and silently pointed at my right leg.

I started to get an idea of what she meant as I looked down, and as I suspected, the Kobold was clinging to my right leg, seemingly not having any intention of letting go.

"... What are you doing?", I asked the Kobold, slightly shaking my leg.

It clung to me like glue.

"... Clinging?", it said, tilting its head to the side. It was rather cute.

"No, I can see that. What I want to know is why you're clinging to my leg."

It tilted its head to the opposite side.

"... Lady Entropy?", I asked.

"... What, is it?", she responded.

"Is there some manner of secret method to communicating with Kobolds?"

"... You're, on, your own."

I heaved a sigh as I thought, even a regular dog is easier to understand than this...

"Then, is there something you want from me?", I asked the Kobold.

It nodded.

"What do you want from me, then?", I asked, feeling slightly relieved.

It stared at me in silence, and I thought I could make out a faint hint of expectation in its facial expression. Thinking back on its earlier actions, I formulated a theory and immediately tried it out.

"What do you want from me, soldier?", I asked in a somewhat authoritative tone.

It separated from my leg in an instant, and gave a somewhat sloppy salute, not dissimilar to the way it had done so earlier. "Sir!", it said, "I'd like to receive the item you promised me, sir!"

I waved my hand, upon which it dropped its arm back down, as I was internally rather elated I'd figured out how to communicate with it effectively. As I thought back to what I had promised it, I voiced my thoughts: "... The collar?"

"Yes, sir!", it replied, its tail wagging furiously.

After a moment of silence, I clapped my hands twice, and a Ghost Maid appeared from a wall. After a formal curtsy, she spoke: "You called, Lord Astaroth?"
