Hello everyone, Astaroth here.
Isn't it a hassle when you say one thing, and someone takes it to mean something else?
If you possess a skill or social position that forces absolute compliance, it's even worse.

At the end of the day, as I retreated to my room, the moment I closed the door behind me, I entrusted my body to my bed.

That is to say, I took off my shoes, tossed my crown on the hook and then entrusted my body to my bed, deciding not to mind the various metal parts on my uniform.

I felt a certain presence glide into the room and decided not to say anything as she sat on my bed, next to me.

After a few seconds, her inquiring silence got to me, so I still spoke up.

"Although I should logically be practically immune to both mental and physical fatigue, I still feel exhausted", I explained, somehow suppressing the sigh that almost escaped my mouth.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Lady Entropy nod in understanding.

"Well, training Kobolds, can be, hard. Mostly, it depends, on, their intelligence, and, how close, their instincts are, to, the logical choice."

How do you know that?, before I could ask the question, a quip shot out of my mouth, almost reflexively: "In that case, we're doomed."

I sensed a small amount of amusement from Lady Entropy, which I estimated to be at the level of a light snicker, as she responded: "You have, to admit, it's trying hard, though. It really, wants, to be useful, to you."

"Oh, I wasn't denying its efforts", I said, lightly shaking my head, "but even so, it's still tiring in several ways."

"Several...?"

"You get sick of repeating the same thing over and over no matter who you are. As mighty as I am, that goes even for me."

The room was filled with a tranquil silence for a few seconds, only disturbed once Lady Entropy once again moved her colourless lips.

"... Is there, anything... I can..."

Her voice died down.

"Please, by all means, continue your sentence", I told her, smiling wryly as I looked up towards the ceiling of the bed.

"Is there... anything, I can... do, for you?", she squeezed out, seemingly trying to look away. Given I had little to no trouble seeing her eyes, I wouldn't have said it was working very well.

The wry smile on my face did not fade as I sat up. I had to relocate myself only slightly to position myself next to her. The moment I did so, her eyes darted in a different direction, but she gave me an occasional glance.

Although I didn't particularly dislike her behaviour--in fact, I found it quite cute--it also gave rise to an undeniable curiosity in my heart. I decided to satisfy both feelings at the same time, and the result was that I placed my hand on her head as I spoke.

"I appreciate the offer, Lady Entropy, but I have a question."

"Hm?"

"That is... why are you suddenly acting embarrassed to offer me something like this? You've helped me with things before, no?"

"Ah--"

She froze.

It took me moving my hand in front of her face for her to return.

"Uhm... That's, uh... Well...", she stammered, her eyes darting across the room in all directions but mine as her ears fluttered madly with embarrassment.
