I was awakened by a loud bang in the living room. I darted out of my bed, threw a large t-shirt and shorts on, grabbed the gun I kept in my sock drawer, then slowly made my way downstairs. When I made it to the kitchen, I ducked behind the island. Peering over the edge, I caught a glimpse of my "attacker".

"Shawn! What the fuck are you doing?" I shouted as I threw the gun onto the counter and ran over to Shawn. I grabbed his hand and pulled him down onto the couch. I stood in front of him with my hands on my hips. "Oh my God what happened to you?" I whispered as I studied the bruise on the left side of his face.

"You." he said without expression. I looked at him weirdly for a second before I remembered what happened last night.

"And I don't regret anything." I spat, crossing my arms across my chest. "I thought I could trust you."

"Let me explain." he pleaded. I rolled my eyes and shifted my weight.

"Fine," I said angrily, sitting down on a single person chair across from him.

"That girl, I thought she was you." he said, emotion literally crawling from his words.

"If you're going to lie, at least make it believable." I said sarcastically. Shawn sighed and pushed a hand through his hair. I found myself wishing I could run my fingers through it and mess it up by myself, massage it and make Shawn- Damn it Katie, snap out of it!

"She was wearing the same dress as you, had the same hairstyle, shit she even sounded like you! Katie, she looked just like you. Plus, it was dark and smoky in there. Not to mention the amount of noise. If anything, we should be even now. Since you were making out with Hayes."

Smack! I smacked Shawn right across him smug face. He cupped his cheek and opened his mouth.

"I kissed him. I didn't make out with him. I thought that was in the past. Why bring it up? It's not like you can do anything to change it. So just shut the fuck up and continue with your explanation. Anything you say that doesn't pertain to this subject will be the cause of another bruise." I gave him a look that shut him right up.

"What ever. Anyways, I'm done with my explanation. Either you trust your gut and believe me, or keep looking through the film of hate you have covering your eyes, and don't believe me. I love you way too much to lose you." Shawn leaned across the coffee table and took my hand in his. I felt a single tear stream out of my eye. Frustrated, I wiped it away angrily; I was tired of crying. Shawn cupped my face with his hands. I gave in and ran over to him and hugged him tightly. He pulled me onto his lap and hugged me back.

"We need a day out," I blurted out of nowhere. Shawn looked at me and smiled.

"Go get ready, and wear something fancy." he gently pushed me off his lap and pushed me in the direction of the stairs. I giggled and darted to my room, pulled out a stunning red dress that I'd been waiting to wear ever since I saw it.

I showered as quickly as I could and did a fancy makeup which took ten minutes. I curled my hair and pinned up my bangs. 2 hours later, my face and hair were completed. I slipped my dress on and zipped up the low back. My dress was dark red with one sleeve that had fabric roses sewed into the material. The back was very low and ended in a "v" shape. It left my entire back bare. The flowers continued around my chest and followed the back line and trailed in spirals to the floor. I sighed and ran my hands along the material. It made my curvy body look slim and even more curvy. I put on some flats since my feet wouldn't show, and they were already so sore from the night before. I grabbed my clutch and slipped my lipstick and phone into it. I made my way down the stairs and saw Shawn standing with a suit on, his hair slicked to the side. We looked like we were going to a royal ball. Shawns back was facing me, so I walked silently over to him, running my hand across his shoulders as I walked behind him. I traced my fingers up his neck and across his face, turning his head ever so slightly so I could barely give him a whisper of a kiss. He inched forward to kiss me fully and I pulled away quickly, leaving him stunned and confused. I smiled and waltzed out of the door. Shawn stumbled after me to open my door. I smiled and waved seductively before stepping in and buckling my seatbelt. I heard a sigh as he jogged around the front of the car. Shawn opened his door and sat in the drivers seat, started the ignition, and sped off to our destination. I watched the night sky as we drove along the highway, stars sprinkled across the black blanket. The moon was only a sliver, barely able to be seen. I looked at the ocean as the waves tumbled onto a rocky shore. I put my hand out of the window and felt the air tickle my fingers. When we arrived at the restaurant, I waited as Shawn made his way to my side of the car and open my door for me. He took my hand and pulled me out of the car. I kissed his cheek lightly enough so that I wouldn't leave any lipstick marks, then I walked through the front doors.
