Chapter Twenty-Seven: Maple
I went over to the door and pressed my ear against it. Yeah, I probably could have just walked in but I like pretending to be a spy. I heard some muffled words at first but then my ears adjusted.
"When are you going to tell her? More importantly how are you going to tell her?" Someone said. Jason? I thought we weren't trusting him?
"How about I tell her?" Another voice offered. Duke I think.
"No. They have to." Jason said.
"We're planning on just randomly saying it when she's in a good mood. Maybe then she wont kill us as slowly and painfully." Brandon said. Okay, who is this 'she' that is going to kill 'us'? and who is the other part of 'us'?
"So you're just going to blurt it out?"
"Yeah. She hates us anyways." Julie said. Ahh, so that is the 'us'. But who is the 'she'?
"Jason, but don't you think Maple is going to kill you or do something worse when she finds out?" Me? What did they do? Where was Delbert?
"Yeah! She's going to keep them locked in a cell with no food or water or bed or even windows when she finds out they killed her parents!" Duke suddenly yelled.
Wait WHAT?
Who did what? Julie and Brandon killed my parents?
I was going to do worse than lock them in a cell! I was going to chain them to a post and just make them look at me for the rest of their lives! That way they could see how sad and angry they had made me.
I kicked down the door to see Duke looking scared, Jason looking a little bit angry, and Julie and Brandon looking slightly shocked at me. I guess Jason was mad at Duke for ruining the surprise.
"You killed my parents?" I yelled at Julie and Brandon.
