Stars

Cas and I were out in the middle of the night laying on the hood of the impala looking up at the stars. Both Cas and I have been stressed lately, so we came out here just to have some time to ourselves. At some point I went from looking at the stars to thinking about how we got here. About everything we've went through just to have a moment like this. After everything that's happened to me, everything that I've done, everything I caused Cas is still here. Cas is still with me. I'm brought out of my thoughts by Cas pressing a kiss to my cheek. "What are you thinking about" Cas asks. "You" I say "and how you've always stuck by me despite everything that's happened" It was quiet for a moment before Cas speaks. "I will always stick by you Dean. I knew I would when I pulled you out of hell. And I won't leave you either" I smile. We sit in a comfortable silence awhile, just looking at the stars. What I say next though suprises me. "Hey Cas, will you marry me" I can feel Cas freeze. "What" I sit up so I can look at him. "Will you marry me? I know this isn't a proper proposal and I don't have a ring but-" I'm cut off by a pair of lips on mine. I melt into Cas's arms. Cas pulls away and says, "Of course I will Dean" I smile again and pull him into a kiss this time. We stay like this, wrapped in each others arms, for awhile until we pull away to breath. "I love you Dean Winchester" "I love you too Castiel-soon to be-Winchester"
