I won't let anyone hurt you

I was in the kitchen helping Cas cook dinner. Usually it was me who makes dinner but Cas wanted to give me a break. I was stubborn so I was still helping. I was trying to get a bowl out of the cabinet. It was taller than me so I had to stand on my tip toes and I was holding myself up with my other hand on the counter. I manage to grab the bowl but my hand slips off of the counter sending me and the bowl to the floor. I freeze when the bowl shatters. I push myself into a sitting position. "Please don't hurt me" I mumble, starting to cry. In a past relationship if I broke something or did something wrong I would get hit, Cas knows this as well. He walks over to me making me flinch a little. He sits down beside me and wraps his arms around me in a comforting imbrace. I lean into him. "Dean I would never hurt you okay" Cas say in a gentle tone. "And I promise I won't let anything hurt you" I smile at his comforting words. I rest my head on Cas's shoulder. "I love you" I mumble. "I love you too"
