Oh wow! Two updates in one day! Wow! I guess I'm on a roll! How are you doing today?

CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

<<Niall's POV>>

<<Two weeks later>>

We went to so many meetings and other weird, political government places. Like, we got birth certificates and identification. Our photos were taken, and thankfully, Zayn's hair was growing back. We didn't know our age, but our fingerprints were hooked up to national databases. Well, except for Zayn and Liam. There's weren't. We got medical insurance and Louis went to take a driving test. We went to the doctor and we were surprisingly healthy. Cardi went to a GYN and got a checkup with Stefani, who got a lesson in feminine hygiene. She got a pap smear and a mammogram. She was warned that her injection could cause cancer though.

We were enrolled into an adult school nearby for next week. Stefani was very prepared. He was also quite enthusiastic.

"Oh, I'm so proud of you guys! You truly became who you were meant to be!" She cheered as we drove back to her place after a few more identifications and schedules for therapy. We went in for lunch. She had some Mexican food laid out for us to try and cook.

"Would you like to make your own food?" She asked.

"Sure." Cardi accepted. There was plenty of space in the cottage-like kitchen. Harry looked at some of the food.

"What would you like?" Harry asked.

"Some menudo would be good, along with pozole!" Zayn said.

"Eww, that's nasty, I'm just gonna have some enchilada." Harry said, looking through the cookbook. Setfani said that cooking was a very therapeutic and relaxing. She took out her phone and played some Sia.

I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist! I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry! I'm gonna swing from the chandel-i-e-r-r-r!"

We cooked from the cookbook. Setfani's cook, Alejandra, came out and helped us. She was a pretty, short, young woman, from Nicaragua, she had long, straight, silky black hair, let down to her waist. She was thin and wore a tight black dress and a white apron. Since none of us cooked when we were on the streets, we needed to learn.

<<An hour later>>

After an hour, we made several dishes. We made some tacos, pozole, menudo, enchiladas, refried beans, rice, ceviche and flan for dessert. Alejandra got out some homemade guacamole and pico de gallo with her homemade tortilla chips. We gathered at the table for lunch.

"Would you care to give grace?" Stefani asked to Alejandra. She smiled and nodded. With a slight spanish accent, she gave grace.

"Dear holy father, thank you for bringing us together for this day. We thank you for the food you have provided for us and hope we can use it to nourish our bodies and bring glory back to your eyes. Nuestras luchas nos han hecho fuertes. Amen" She prayed.

We all said amen. We passed the tortilla chips, poured iced tea and started to eat.

"Do you have any plans for today?" Cardi asked Stefani.

"Well, no, I don't, I'm on my vacation, I'm sure National Enquirer is on a woman hunt right now." She laughed.

"We could go shopping at the mall?" She suggested.

"Ooh, that would be lots of fun!" Stefani squealed.

"We can also gather all these leftovers and give them to all the other homeless blokes on the streets." Harry suggested. Such a huge heart, he has.
