CHAPTER ELEVEN

<<Zayn's POV>>
I had no idea what the fuck I was doing. Letting an inexperienced little squirt tagging along. Basically he could expose me to something. But I had to keep my cool if I wanna stay alive.

"So you good at this?" Niall asked.

"I'm good at all street jobs, I've done them all." I replied. "Now shut the fuck up, you can't make any noises." I said. I spotted a young group of prep kids. It must be a weekend because they weren't in school. I lost count of what days were which. All I knew is the season and that was all that was important. Because every day was the same, survive. God, I even forgot when it was my birthday. Prolly around January I think. But who cares. Most people here don't live it past forty.

"Quick, see those spoiled brats?" I pointed out across the streets.

"Yeah, I see them, they look like college students." Niall whispered.

"Okay, if you want breakfast, go take their wallet, they're on their phones, so they're pretty distracted. That one white girl with the blonde highlights and skinny jeans looks really packed." I pointed out, "She's got the goods."

"How did you know?" Niall asked.

"Look, that's the newest iPhone, those jeans are Calvin Kleins, those eyebrows were professionally done, so you know she's got dough." I quickly explained. "You haven't really helped any of the other sons, except maybe Cardi last night, you were just learning, but this time, you're actually gonna help." I was getting annoyed by all these damn motherfucking questions.

"Okay." Niall said unsteadily. He crept up behind them, like in the action movies. Dammit, that's not how you do it, he looks like fish outta water. So cringy. I facepalmed in the shadows. Niall tiptoed. Thankfully, none of the kids paid attention. For me, they would be easy pickings.

Niall continued to tip toe, ugh dammit, not like these kids would hear a hurricane, with their earbuds plugged in I thought

Niall continued to tip toe, ugh dammit, not like these kids would hear a hurricane, with their earbuds plugged in I thought. I shook my head, these amateurs are my bane. Niall tried to reach and grab the wallet of the girl, sticking out of her ass pocket, like a piece of gold. I would've gotten in in like, twelve seconds or less.

Then Niall tripped and facepalmed. Oh, of course, that clumsy potato. The kids turned around.

"Oh, hello, are you okay?" An asian student asked, pulling out his earbuds.

"Sorry, we didn't see you." Another black girl said, taking off her headphones.

"Hey, are you okay? Do you need some money? Are you homeless?" The blonde girl asked, turning off her bluetooth device.
