Story #7: The Sport

"I'm home!-"

Nelson just got back from school. He just walked in on Jaiden doing yoga.

"Nelson!"

Nelson was in shock.

"If I bleach my eyes, will I become color blind?" Nelson asked.

"Nelson calm down. Why are you back so early?" Jaiden asked.

"I always get back at this time."

"Oh..... huh.... well, Nelson... it looks like you have too much time on your paws."

"Too much time!? I have a tight schedule that requires all of my extra hours!" Nelson exclaimed.

"I bet that 'tight' schedule of yours is just consisting of watching Twilight with three loafs of bread."

Dang it..... he exposed me.....impossible.....

"False. I actually spend all my time researching Global Warming, and how it is absolutely a real thing," Nelson said.

"Nelson, let's not have this argument right now. I want you to join a sport, and that's final!"

"A sport!"

"Final!"

Dang it! My mile time is like 20 minutes! No-one would want me. Not that I blame them.

The Next Day~

Nelson went to the bulletin board to look for sport tryouts.

"Let's see...."

Football.... heck no...... baseball..... as if....... tennis..... too crazy..... speech team..... is that even a thing?...... basketball.....Hmm.....not a bad idea actually.... I'll do it!

So after school, Nelson went to tryouts at the Gym.

The Gym was filled with tall people. None of them looked under six feet.

"Oh boy..." Nelson whispered.

"Everyone take a seat!" A man yelled.

Everyone sat down at the bleachers.

"We're here today to tryout for the 2018-2019 Boys Razville Basketball Team. Any questions before we start?" He asked.

No-one rose their hand... or paw.

"Okay! Skinner, show 'em how it's done."

A tall guy from the bleachers walked down by the man's side.

"I said show 'em how it's done!"

"R-right," Skinner remembered.

Skinner grabbed a basketball from the side line, and started to shooting baskets.

"Oh my word....."

He wasn't missing at all! Getting three pointers everyone couple seconds!
