"Nelson, I'm heading out! There's only a day left of the Skyrim convention, so I don't have time to waste!"

*crack!*

The sound of lighting suddenly cracked into a sunny day. Slowly, the day went cloudier and cloudier as a storm quickly covered the blue sky.

*beep beep!*

"Huh?"

Jaiden checked his phone to see that a notification had popped up from the convention app he has.

"Cancelled! Not again!"

"Does that mean you're staying?" Nelson asked, while eating an animal cracker.

"I guess so...."

"Hey, guys!" Pamela called out from the kitchen, "wanna play a board game. My phone died, and I can't find my charger!"

Nelson looked at Jaiden.

"What?" Jaiden asked, as Nelson stared into his soul.

"You know, Jod."

"We really shouldn't," Jaiden said.

"It's the only board game we have."

Jaiden started to sweat uncontrollably. He looked like a sweaty athlete after a 10K run.

"You sure?"

"Hello!?" Pamela yelled.

"Okay!" Nelson answered, "we've got one!"

Nelson and Jaiden went to their dark clothes closet.

"I don't know about this...."

"Jaiden, grab the game," Nelson demanded.

Jaiden reached up to the highest shelf. He moved a couple wii remote props he used for one of his conventions.

"Got it," Jaiden announced.

"Well, bring it down!"

Jaiden took down the dusty box of The Game of Life.

Nelson tried not to flinch at the sight of the box.

"L-let's bring it into the dinning room," Nelson said, trying not to scream.

"Pamela! Come into the dining room!" Jaiden yelled.

*thud*

"The last people to play this was my great great grandfather. We never heard back from him after he played this..." Jaiden explained.

"We've got this, Jaiden."

"Okay, guys. I'm ready. What's the game?" Pamela asked.

Nelson pointed a shaky finger at the box.

"Oooo! The Game of Life! I love that game!"

Nelson was about to go grab the shotgun, but Jaiden shot him a sign to stay calm.

"Great...." Nelson said awkwardly.

"Well, let's open it!"

Jaiden and Nelson didn't move.

"Come on, dweebs!"

"L-ladies first," Jaiden said.

Nelson and Jaiden did a fist bump behind their backs.

Pamela reached for the lid. Dust came running out.

"Woah! That's pretty dusty. It looks like the last time you played this was like a century ago!"
