IshRa FF Beginning Again

Part 11

While Raman had been talking Ishita had gotten up and begun to pace the room. "I can't believe the utter nerve of that woman. I knew she was deceitful and couldn't be trusted." Ishita was really upset and had begun to ramble. Raman said nothing, the way any smart man would, since she might turn on him next. "I mean seriously what woman wanders around with a fake cancer report unless she intends to cause trouble. I have never believed that line she fed you about doing it as penance. She only did it to make you feel guilty, so she could then cause trouble between us "
Finally running down Ishita collapsed back in her chair. Raman t decided maybe it was safe to say speak "Can I say I'm sorry ?"

"Sorry for what ? This particular episode wasn't your fault. You just opened the front door. Knowing Shagun if you hadn't she'd have come thru the window on her broomstick"

"What I'm sorry for" Raman said. "is upsetting you again with all of this. I'm afraid to ask but what is the next question you have ?"

Ishita thought about it and realized that the moment was just not right. The final question was just too difficult to deal with right now. "I'd like to wait on that. I think all of this has been emotional enough. I don't want to add to it."

Raman didn't like the sound of that but he knew that pushing Ishita on it wouldn't work "Ok, then let's plan the rest of day then."

Ishita was in agreement with that and soon they had plotted out a course to one the smaller towns nearby. Like most of the recent days the weather was surprisingly good. They had a pleasant drive and Raman and Ishita finally relaxed from the morning's revelations. Neither one talked about the incident in bed. Both of them knew without saying it that it would have to be dealt with in the evening but each decided to leave it for then.
As Raman drove Ishita read some of the local history from a guidebook she'd picked up. Raman asked some questions about Tamil Nadu history since he hadn't been raised with it. Ishita was able to tell him quite a bit and was surprised at how much she remembered from school.

Finally they stopped for lunch and to wander thru some of the local shops....
