Raman returned to the hotel and found Ishita staring out the window. "Are you alright ?" He asked slipping his arms around her waist and resting his chin on her shoulder.

"It depends on where that woman is." Ishita answered stepping away from Raman .

Raman sighed. He was afraid that all the progress they had made was about to be undone. "Well, when I last saw her she was standing on the sidewalk watching me walk away. I have to say I did enjoy that slap you gave her Jhansi Ki Rani. "

"Good I'm glad you approve. I think however that's it's time we had the rest of that talk that we put off this morning."

Ishita moved away from the window and sat down on the coach. "Right now I'm going to ask the same thing as before. You need to be completely honest with me. Don't try and spare my feelings."

Raman t sat down next to Ishita "Ok, I promise completely honest." He knew from the look on Ishita's face and the tone in her voice that their whole future depended on the next few minutes.

"Why didn't you trust me when it came to the story of you and Shagun ?" Ishita 's thoughts had been whirling around this question for some time. "Way back at the very beginning when we were first married, you knew from the beginning, from the engagement with Subbu and how it ended,but I did not know that you were once married" Ishita paused to let Raman absorb what she was asking.

"That is the bottom line that I see in all of this. I understand that you did not like to talk about your wife leaving you after 1 year because of Ashok. But obviously you never trusted me. Not when we first married or later after we fell in love. What did you think I would do, run off and tell your story to the New Delhi Times the first chance I got?"

Raman was stunned. He hadn't realized that this was the direction that Ishita 's mind had gone. "The truth is going back to the very beginning; I was going to tell you. The only excuse I have and it isn't a good one is that time got away from me. By the time I realized what I had done I was scared to death of losing you. But I can say from the very beginning that I have always trusted you.

"Then please," Ishita said. "Tell me what happened."
