"Elise?" I almost screamed right there, in the middle of the plane. Why hadn't she called me? Did she not want to? I felt embarrassed for some reason, but she looked angry. Why was she angry? I had the right to be mad, not her. For some reason, despite all the emotions that went through me at that moment, anger was not one of them.

"How could you do that to me? Lead me on, then don't bother to give me your number. I thought we had something, but apparently not." She looked like she was on the verge of tears.
"Elise, I-"
"Please don't give me some lame excuse. If you're going to give me the best day of my life, and then act like it never happened, then you're not worth my time. In fact, maybe you should switch seats with someone." She started looking around, probably to find someone new to sit with her.
"I did-"
"I totally get it if you've never kissed a girl before, but you seemed so... into it. Like you really liked me. I'm sorry if you're not in touch with your sexuality or something. I hope I didn't scare you off, I just thought that... whatever." It scared me how much she thought I didn't like her.

"I did give you my number." She looked up at me with tears streaming down her face.
"Sorry, I don't know why I'm so emotional, it was only one day." She wiped tears from her face and I so desperately wished I wasn't the reason she was crying. I leaned forward to wipe the tears away, but she wouldn't let me touch her. After a few coughs, she continued.

"No you didn't. I didn't realize it until the next morning, and it hurt. Really bad. I've never felt like that with anyone before, and even though I barely knew you, you broke my heart. I probably sound so clingy, oh god. It's just... I don't know." She continued to apologize for her tears. "I'm not known for showing much emotion. It makes me feel vulnerable." She looked surprised at her own confession.

"Ma'am, would you please sit down?" A flight attendant asked me.
"Hold on." I replied, then turned back to Elise.
"No, the plane will be taking off soon, I need you to sit down." The woman was losing her patience fast.
"I said hold on. Elise, can I-"
"Ma'am I will get the captain if you don't-"
"Hold on! Elise-"
"Ma'am, we will kick you off this plane-"
"I said hold on!" I screamed. The entire plane went silent.
"I'm going to have to ask you to leave the plane."
I turned around and punched the flight attendant in the face, then ran to the exit, bags in hand.

As I made the shameful walk inside the long hallway from the plane to the airport, I heard footsteps coming towards me from the plane. As I turned around, I saw Elise running towards me. When she got to me, she dropped her bags, grabbed my face in her hands, and kissed me.
