Mike's POV:

I know I messed up, but I did it for a good reason. I don't know a better way I could have done it, and I don't regret it all. I regret letting her go when she found her phone, though. I was trying to protect her from Elise, but now she's going back to the house.

Ty walks in on me crying in the bedroom, and he immediately puts his arm around me. "Mike, baby, what's wrong? Where's Ara?" I shake my head. "She found her phone; she's on her way back." Ty stands up quickly. "You let her go? You just stood there and watched her go?" He hits the dresser.

"Ty, I didn't mean to. I should've gone after her; I just-" "It's too late to protect her, now. She's supposed to be your best friend, and you pretty much just hurdled her into a death trap! Elise is not good for her, and you know it!" He's really mad, and I completely understand. I should've stopped her.

"I know. This is my fault, but there's nothing we can do. She's already there, and she hates us. I'm sorry. All we can do is wait."

Ty just looks at me. He looks defeated. "You're right. This is your fault, and there's nothing we can do." I plop down on the bed and put my head in my hands. "I'm sorry." Just as I think he's about to leave, he sits in my lap and kisses me. "It's okay. It's her fault, too. I love you." I look up at him, surprised. "I love you, too. Let's wait. Next time Elise hurts her, she'll come running back here- hopefully." Ty nods.

"Okay. Until then, I need something to keep my mind off of it."

I'm so sorry for not posting on the days I was supposed to for a whole week. I had a bit of writers block, but I'm back now. Sorry this chapter is so short, the next one will be better.
