Chapter 30

Ty's POV:

After a few minutes of pounding on Ara's door, Mike comes out of our room. "What is she doing?" He asks frantically. I just shake my head. "We got in a fight, and she has razor blades in there." Mike just stares at me for a second before looking very angry.

"You got in a fight? You can't provoke her, she's so fragile!" He pushes me out of the way and starts knocking on the door. "That's not my fault! I just can't believe what she's doing. She needs psychological help, because something is very wrong." Mike rolls his eyes and turns to face me; giving up on the door.

"She's my best friend, and right now her problems are more worth my time than you are." With that, he turns to face the door again. "Can you leave me alone with her? I don't need you near her anymore." My mouth is wide open in shock. "Do you want me to just go watch TV or something?" I ask him.

"It would be best if you would leave for a few hours." I roll my eyes at him and walk out the door. What was that? Did he just kick me out for the day? I can't believe him. He doesn't get how this is affecting me; how it's affecting us.

Mike's POV:

"Ara, please. Ty is gone, just open the door." I rest my head on the door, about ready to give up, when I hear the lock click. I quickly twist the doorknob and come face to face with the poor girl. She throws her arms around me and sobs. "I want Elise, Mike. You don't understand how much I love her." I gently nudge her off of me and sit on the bed next to her.

"I understand that you love her, but you need to understand that she doesn't love you. Anyone who loves you would treat you so much better than this." Ara shakes her head. "You guys keep saying that, but when she says it, she seems so genuine. She almost makes the pain worth it, you know?"

I can't tell her I know, because I don't. Ty would never treat me like that, because he's an amazing boyfriend. I can't believe I just made him leave; he was just trying to help.

"Ara, look at it this way. You're not the only one being hurt by this. Elise is being hurt legally, and Ty started cursing. You know his much he opposed that. It's affecting everyone around you, just not physically. Ty and I are getting into more fights...

"And you can see what it's doing to you, Arabella. You look like you haven't eaten in weeks. You started collecting razor blades to make you feel better, but you still try to go back to her. I'm not saying you're stupid, because I know you're in love, but Arabella, she doesn't love you."

Ara and I spend the rest of the night crying, and I thought that I opened her eyes a little bit. I thought she would stay away from Elise.

I was wrong.
