(Still Ty's POV):
Trying to keep Ara from acting positively insane so they would release her from the hospital was extremely difficult. First, I had to put every single bracelet back on both of her wrists, and tell every doctor that came through that she never took them off, so they shouldn't. Fortunately, they always listened, because now they didn't think she tried to kill herself. They are convinced that Elise forced the pills down her throat before leaving the house. Of course, I know that isn't the case, but if it keeps the doctors from putting her in a mental hospital, then I'm happy.
Second, I had to make sure she didn't say anything about still being in love with her abuser around the doctors. They would surely submerge her in a ton of therapy, and knowing Ara, that wouldn't help her at all. It would make everything worse; her having to relive the events over and over to some stranger in a therapy session. Trying to control her on their one year anniversary was even worse. She moped around all day, sobbing and screaming for 'her beloved'. It was ridiculous and very disturbing, but I managed to keep the doctors away.
It has now been three days since both Mike and Arabella have been in the hospital, and they are finally being released. They recommended a therapist for Ara, but she just kind of brushed it off and pretended that they weren't together very long, and that she would never see her again. I'm hoping she never will see her again, but for some reason Elise keeps making appearances.
I drive both of them to our house, and when We arrive, I offer to gather Ara's clothes from the other house. That sparks a huge fight. "You don't need to, I'm going back. I need her." That comment from Ara also provokes Mike. "Excuse me? After she stabs me, you still want to go back to her? I thought we were supposed to be best friends! This isn't just affecting you, Arabella. She stabbed me. She assaulted me, you can't just go back to her knocking you around. I don't get why you think this is okay!" With that, Mike stomps into the house and slams the door behind him.
"Does he not get that I love her?" Ara asks me.
"Do you not get that she doesn't love you? Do you not get that she is hurting you and your friends? Do you not care?" I respond, being as brutally honest as I think she can handle right now. She just rolls her eyes and follows me into the house. She retreats into her room, and I go into mine. After about thirty minutes, I hear a loud whimper come from her room.
Oh shit.
Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. Her door is locked. I grope around the top of the doorframe frantically before finding the key. It takes way too long to unlock the door, but what I find inside isn't as bad as I thought it would be.
"Please don't take it away." Ara cries, and tries to hide the razor blade from me. I sigh and slowly walk towards her. "Arabella, if you don't stop I'm going to kick you out of this house." I say. "Good, I'll just move in with Elise!" She shouts.
"I'm so fucking tired of this cycle, Ara! Just stop going back to her, she's not good for you!" She starts to cry. "No, Ara, just-" "Fuck you!" She screams and slams the door in my face.
