Chapter 19

Mike's POV:

Arabella doesn't speak the whole way to the hospital. It's heartbreaking to see her this way. Elise has hurt her so much, but this is the worst thing she's done, by far. It's probably not fair to blame her for it, but I hate her. She's making my best friend miserable and taking her away from me, and I hate her.

How can Arabella be so stupid? How can someone stay in a toxic relationship like this? It's just plain dumb. Arabella has never really seemed desperate; she's always been happy single as far as I could tell.

However, now she's pathetic. Sitting there sobbing in the backseat, when she should've left Elise the first time she hurt her. I look over at Ty, and he's crying, too. I'm not sure if it's because Arabella's crying, or for another reason.

I wonder if Ara expected this. Did she see it coming, or was it a complete surprise to her? I would ask her, but she doesn't seem like she wants to answer my questions.

Luckily, the hospital isn't that far away from Elise's house. I secretly wish Elise dies, and immediately feel bad. Ara loves her, she can't die.

Maybe this will be too much for her to handle, and she'll leave her. I can only hope. It's for her own good, and probably Elise's, too. I'll call the cops if I hear that she's been hurt again.

They won't let any of us into the hospital room, because they rushed Elise into surgery. We still don't know what exactly happened to her; we just know that it's pretty serious. This entire deal is ridiculous.

I wouldn't have been dragged into this if Ara would've left the whore in the first place.

When Ara left our house, Ty told me nothing was wrong. He said that Elise needed Ara home, and that they were fine. I know he was lying. I can see a bruise on her neck, and I can tell that she's wearing makeup. She never really wore makeup. What's happening to her? What is Elise doing to her?
