I wake up the next morning and Cameron still isn't anywhere to be seen. I find the remote beside the bed, and turn on the t.v. After for searching for a couple minutes, I settled on watching a rerun of Friends.
I'm watching this for a while, totally invested in Ross trying to convince his kid not to play with a barbie doll, and laughing really hard. All of a sudden, as I'm laughing there is this burning pain in my chest, and I can't breathe. I'm clawing at my chest, trying to get the pain to go away so I can breathe. It only gets worse, and I can't reach the call button I knocked off in my struggle to stop the pain.
I look around the room, trying to find anything that can make a big enough noise to alert the nurses. I find a metal tray, to my right, but the wheels are locked. I look to my left, and I see the heart machine, that's connected to my finger. I take it off, and the machine goes crazy.
Five seconds later, my new nurse, Zac comes rushing in. He's my favorite because sometimes when my mom was working I would hang out and we would race each other in the hallways, and do fun things until his boss made him get back to work. He's 23, and is really cute. He's 6'4, and has a hot 6 pack, and is super skinny. He's amazing in every way. (pic below)
He stops when he sees I'm clutching my chest, and presses a button on the wall. His eyes are full of panic, as he looks me over. There is a weird flashing color after he pressed that button, and a speaker is shouting something, but I can't focus the pain is too much now.
I feel my cheeks grow wet, and sticky. I move one hand and wipe my face. As soon as I release that pressure, I can't breathe at all, and I'm coughing, and i start to cough harder. I cover my mouth with both hands, and something warm and wet hits them. My hands are still against my mouth and I slowly pull them away, they are shaking really bad. I start freaking out, when I see blood in them and i'm crying more, and my chest still hurts. And I look up, and a whole bunch of people are rushing in, and Zac is telling everyone what they saw.
I'm still clutching my chest, as the doctors talk. I see black spots spread across my vision like a swarm of spiders, and I'm getting even more scared. Before I black out, I see Zac freaking out, and pulling at his hair. He looks like he is about to cry. I laugh a little in my mind, he's so cute but such a doofass Is the last thing I remember thinking before I pass out.
Cameron's P.O.V.
I wake up around five-thirty. I didn't really sleep much anyways. All I think about when I close my eyes, is Melissa laying on that floor barely breathing. I shake my head, and get up. It's Monday, so I have to go to school before I can visit Mel. I wish I could just ditch, but if she found out she would give me an earful on how I'm ruining my chances to go to Stanford. I laugh lightly, and walk to my closet. I'm feeling lazy today, so I decided on a pair of black, baggy Nike sweat pants, my black Nike Shoes, and a plain black short sleeve shirt. I put my apple watch on, and slip my best friends necklace Mel gave me on. It's the other half to the necklace I gave her. I have the silver key, that unlocks the crystal locket that's on her necklace. I also have a charm with an M on mine next to the Key, and she has one with a C next to the locket on hers.
