[Lorena: As you may see, we have now an editor! Youpii! So the book is in process of being edited by thegirlwithanidea . This chapter isn't edited, up to you if you want to cringe at my writing or wait for the edited version.

So would you rather wait some weeks the time our editor finish editing all the chapters (and then I will post it)? Or me posting the unedited chapter regularly and posting the edited chapter after?]

                                                                            😏😏😄😄😌😌

"The doctor said you could leave the hospital tomorrow." Alden said as he approached her. "You should rest for now. I am going to pick you tomorrow around noon."

Lola signed in relief when she saw him, now she could get rid of the child that was hugging her without feeling guilty. "Alright. Thanks. It's late, you should take the child."

They all looked at her oddly. Olivia never thanked anyone because she had too much prise. But now she was friendly with her ex-husband?

Jelena was happy, her friend finally listened to her advice. That attitude was better than the stalked and historic one! For sure she could win Alden's heart!

"Did you just say thanks?"

Lola was taken aback, why was that man so strange? Was she in a town that holds zero connection to the world? Saying thanks was the basic form of politeness. "Should I have said something else? You're welcome?"

"No, it's alright."

"Okay. So like I said, you all should go. It's late."

"But I want to stay with you mummy." Timothy protested as he pouted.

Why was this child so stupid? Can't you see when someone doesn't want you around? "Boy, it's late. Go play with Alden. Sleep with him and stay with him, don't leave his side. Not even a second."

They all felt touched by Olivia's concern for her son. She, who was awkward with her feeling just say this? She must truly love her son!

Alden couldn't help but smile, he always thought that she had brainwashed their son for him to like her that much when she was obviously a bad person. But it seemed like her concern for him was true.

Jelena couldn't help but let some tears fell down. Maybe nearly dying made Olivia see the blessing of being alive? Look at her, she was worried about Timothy being lost when he wouldn't. How could he get lost in his own house? What with the sleep with him? She was afraid that her son would have a nightmare because of the accident! Truly a good mother! Take this, you bunch of old slags who had said that Olivia was a bad mother!

But the truth was something else. What Lola meant by that was to never come back, just stay with the man that had the same DNA as you, don't look for me.

So if they knew her inner thought, they would vomit blood!

"Alright, Timothy, let your mum rest. She must be tired." Landon said to Timothy. This Olivia was truly different but in a good way. He hoped it wasn't a dream, not for him but for his nephew. Maybe it was a side effect of the accident? They should leave so she wouldn't change her mind. His nephew always looked sad because his mother wasn't an expressive person. But now that she didn't try to hide her feeling because of her pride, he was happy for his nephew.

What mum? Who is your mum? Can't you say my name? Olivia!

"Mummy..." Timothy felt like crying at his mother's words. Usually, she wouldn't say anything, the best thing would be 'That my son'. He knew his mum loved him but he was just sad that compared to his friends, he never got any lovely words.

"..." Crazy people. It's a miracle that Olivia didn't become insane. It's also a miracle that she didn't wake up in an asylum. Each time she talked, either they looked at her oddly or cried. Good grief Olivia, how did you survive?

"Olivia, take care. If you need something you can call me." Jelena said before taking her husband's hand, they needed to leave them alone! Jelena winked at Lola who just looked back oddly. She shrugged in her mind, never try to understand a pregnant person.

Lola looked at Alden, why isn't he going too? Or maybe he wanted to talk about the money? Indeed, she would have done the same. But before Lola could open her mouth, Alden beat her.

"You seem pretty close to your friend." What Alden said was, in fact, a critique. With Olivia's bad attitude, he couldn't believe someone would become her friend. Actually, seeing these two made him felt stunned! How could someone put up with her?

But she interpreted his words in a different way. If Olivia and Jelena were friends, of course, they would be close, so why saying the obvious? Unless there was something else behind his words.

What is he implying? Don't tell me Olivia and Jelena had an affair? Or Olivia wished to become a man? Otherwise, why would Jelena wink at her like that? And maybe that was the reason for the divorce? Is he holding a grudge?

Lola looked at him pitifully, she knew boys who broke up with their girlfriend because they discovered they were gay. But it was a first for her to see a woman breaking up because she was gay.

Alden felt there was something strange in this woman's gaze. "Anyway, I am doing this for my son."

She didn't even mention that Alden, always justifies himself. Was he a criminal? Or an abused child? Because why does he keep saying "for my son"? We know you love your son! So take him away, please!

"I know. Take care."

"Mummy!" Timothy jumped at Lola as he hugged her. Again, he didn't notice his mum becoming a stone.

"It's late."

"I will come tomorrow!"

"Don't you have school?" She asked but this time it was Alden who interpreted her words in a different way. What Lola meant was that she didn't want to see him because she was uncomfortable with his presence. But what Alden understood would make the men in Lola life kill him, he thought she wanted to stay alone with him. So that woman still hasn't abandoned pursuing him after all these years?!

"No worry mummy! I don't have school tomorrow!"

"Oh...."

Alden could see the disappointment and here he thought she had changed! She was still the same! How could she be disappointed to see her son when all he wants was to stay by her side!

"Timothy let's go." He said angrily to Olivia.

"Huh? Bye, mum!" He said as he kissed her on the cheek.

"Y-Yeah..."

She waved back to the kid but why was Alden angry? Oh, money. Of course, he would be angry, he must have thought that she was escaping the situation by sending them away. Well, that was true though. She didn't want to face him because indeed, she didn't have any money.

She should think of a way to repay Alden. But how?
