Ketsu followed Tristan through the doors into Kalar's office. She glanced behind her shoulder to Lyz, but the Togruta had vanished. Freaky.
Ketsu didn't have much time to dwell on it though because all her attention went to Kalar. She was shocked to see that he was strangely young, maybe only a few years older than her. He didn't look very intimidating, in fact if it were a fight she'd think of him as weak pickings. But then she met his eyes and saw something terrifying lurking in there, something that unsettled her every nerve.
One of his elbows were propped on his desk and his head was rested on it. Black hair that dangled in his face, one sharp green eye peeking out from under it. The other was covered by a large scar that had barely healed. Ketsu swallowed. Maybe he didn't look like much, but this was definitely a tactical mastermind, an Imperial hardened by war.
There was somebody standing in the room with him. Ketsu spared her a glance. While Kalar's uniform was crisp and white, hers was black. Her blond hair clashed with it. Half Pantoran, half human, Ketsu realized. I though the Empire looked down on aliens, especially halfbreeds.
"Welcome," Kalar said. He studied her and Ketsu tried not to fidget. "Defectors from another remnant, hmm?"
"That's right," Ketsu nodded.
"Now, you must see my dilemma," Kalar offered them a smile. "I have no proof that that's what you really are. In fact, I've never heard of a Tristsuyi remnant in my life, and I make it a mission to keep tabs on all the Imperial remnants. I didn't gain my title of warlord for being stupid."
"Uh," Tristan spoke up. "We're a smaller remnant."
"Indeed," Kalar looked away from them, disinterested, and instead glanced at a datapad on his desk. "Would you look at that. Facial recognition scans just came in. Ketsu Onyo and Tristan Wren?"
Ketsu blanked. "W-what?"
"I had facial recognition scans run on you as soon as you exited your shuttle," Kalar shook his head. "The past Empire may have been composed of fools, but rest assured that my new one is not. Your friends who are no doubt inside my prison at this very moment will soon realize that as well."
Tristan drew his blaster but the half breed near Kalar was suddenly there in an instant, sending a kick that knocked the gun out of his hand. Ketsu reached for her own gun but a click stopped her.
Kalar had his own weapon aimed at her. "I wouldn't try that," he said in a lazy drawl. "My Admiral Adali is the best hand to hand fighter you'll find, plus I can put a blaster bolt through your heart before you can even move to engage her."
Ketsu looked at Tristan. He met her gaze and held up his hands. Ketsu understood, and she raised hers too.
More Imperials showed up and forced them to the ground, cuffing them. Adali slipped out of the room. Ketsu looked up at Kalar with a defiant smirk on her face. Its out of our hands now. Sabine, its all up to you. You can beat this dumb lump, I know you can.

One moment Ahsoka was directing newly freed and grateful prisoners towards the hangar bay, the next an energy sword was cutting through the air towards her. Ahsoka barely raised her Lightsaber to deflect it and found herself staring at a Togruta like herself missing a Lekku.
"Hey there, I'm Lyz, nice to meetcha," she smirked. "I like your swords. They're pretty. I'd love to take 'em off your hands."
"No thanks, I like them where they are," Ahsoka activated her second one. Who was this? One of the prison guards? Was their mission a bust? The alarm was going, sure, but no way they had figured out what was going on so quickly, right? What happened to dumb Imperials?
Lyz chuckled. shaking her head. "It wasn't a question, darling. Ah, don't worry, I'm only here to detain you and stop your little mission. Your prisoners aren't going anywhere."
"You underestimate my team," Ahsoka dropped to a ready stance.
"And you underestimate mine," Lyz laughed before charging forward and swinging her swords. Ahsoka raced towards her to meet her.

"Where would this other Jedi be?" Sabine asked as they ran for the lift.
"The fourth floor," Ezra said.
"But that's where they keep..." Sabine trailed off. "The torture rooms."
Ezra spared a nod. "They never bothered to bring me up, the warden did everything to me in my cell. But there are special interrogation and torture rooms on the top floor. I'm positive you'd find him there."
The lift doors opened and Sabine skidded to a halt. Someone stepped out, someone she didn't know. Red hair with golden beads threaded through it, sea foam green skin, golden scales on her cheeks, and a dangerous glint in her eyes. Another prisoner? Sabine quickly realized it wasn't so as she cracked a sparking light whip on the floor.
"Oh, Ezra," she beamed. "What are you doing out here?"
"That's the warden," Ezra hissed to Sabine, "Kiyfi Quorr. She's dangerous, watch out."
They both dropped to a fighting stance, but Ezra winced. He's not in any condition for a fight. "Stay back," she whispered to him. He adamantly shook his head.
"No. We fight together, just like old times," Ezra flashed her a grin.
She knew there was no stopping him once he made up his mind. She tossed him one of her pistols for good measure and then turned to face the warden.
"How cute," Quorr drawled. "Aren't you two just the sweetest?"
"I dunno. I was locked up in a prison for a few years, I'm not feeling very sweet," Ezra aimed his blaster.
"You're so much more fun when you fight back," Quorr smiled at him right before she lunged forward.
