Lance's POV:
"LISTEN HERE LANCE. I REFUSE TO HAVE YOU SKIP THIS TRAINING SESSION AGAIN! " Shiro shouted angrily at me. I've been arguing with him for over 10 min. now. We are looking into each other's memories, again. Last time I was able to skip the session but Shiro won't let me this time.  Pidge stepped up. "Besides its not like you had a horrible childhood." Hunk nodded. "Yeah, all you ever tell us is how big and happy your family is." I let out a sigh. "Fine." I gave in. "But I go last okay?" Allura shrugged. "Fine by me." I felt out of place at that moment. They were all upset at me. "Alright, Pidge you first." And with that, the session  began.
*After all of them but Lance went.*
Their pasts were pretty normal. Hunk took off the helmet projector thing and handed it to me. "Your turn Lance." I took a deep breath and shakily took the helmet. I placed it on my head and fell asleep. But I was instantly met with horrible things.

Team's POV:
We watched a 3 year old Lance waddle around his living room. Everything looked happy and fun as expected. But then things turned dark. Lance's father suddenly came in and started yelling at Lance's mom and older siblings. We watched as the dad, clearly drunk, beat Lance's mom to a bloody pulp before exiting. Lance starting crying. He didn't understand what was happening. He just wanted it to stop. His siblings grabbed him and hid with him while the older sister tended to their mother. The scene  shifted and we were in 8 year old Lance's room. He had just told them he was bisexual and was listening to his parents argue. "He's now not only useless, he's now a useless disappointment!" His father shouted. "He's our son, why can you never accept him?!" His mom screamed in desperation. There was a audible slap and Lance flinched. Then his father burst in. He slammed the door closed and locked it. Banging and pleading was heard. Lance's fathers eyes glinted dangerously. "You wanna be bi? Fine but pay the price." We watched in horror as he started taking off his pants. He walked towards Lance and the scene shifted again. Lance was 13 now. We watched as Lance witnessed the murder of his oldest sister Vanessa. The murderer was his drunk father. Lance screamed and threw himself at the man. He knocked the knife out of his hand and pushed him to the floor. Lance's father pushed him against the wall and got up. He grabbed the knife and started marching towards a room. The baby's room we realized. Apparently so did Lance. He threw a book at his dads head and ran to a drawer. From that drawer he pulled out a gun. He cocked it and aimed it at his father who dropped the knife in fear. "Whoa son, put that down, you could hurt someone." Lance shook with anger. "DON'T CALL ME YOUR SON, YOU FUCKING JACKASS!" His father took a step forward and Lance shot his leg. The man fell in pain and Lance called the police, gun still trained on his father. When the police came, they arrested the father. They praised Lance for what he did and apologized about his sister. Lance didn't care though, he just wanted Vanessa back. That whole month was filled with grief and relief. Grief for their sister and relief of knowing that they never would have to see that man again.
The scene shifted, it was from a few days ago. We watched as Lance paused upon hearing his name in the room. He eavsdropped. We heard our own voices talking. "He's just so useless sometimes." Pidge. "Pidge that's enough." Shiro. "No she's right okay. He never does anything right." Hunk. "The only thing he can do is be annoying." Keith. "He could be a better paladin. If he doesn't shape up and listen, then we might have to find a new paladin for Blue." Allura.
Lance had heard all of it. Every single word we spoke. Then, it ended.
Lance woke up to see us crying. We starting apologizing like crazy but he silenced us. We tried to hug him but he pushed us away. We looked at him confused. "Lance?" He shook his head. When he looked up his eyes were filled with pain. The eyes that were radiant were now dull we noticed.
Lance's POV:
How dare they do that! I was seething with anger and sadness. "Lance?" One of them called. I shook my head and looked at them. Pidge reached for me but I backed away. "Please don't." I pleaded. Shiro looked at me confused. "Don't what Lance?" I looked down and tears rolled down my face. "Don't pretend." I gave a hollow laugh. "I know you aren't actually caring. You never cared before." I looked up making eye contact with Keith. The heartbreak was clear in his eyes. I looked away shamefully. I can't even do love right. "What do you mean?" Pidges small voice squeaked. I wrapped my arms around myself to keep from shaking. "All the times I tried to do anything. The times I almost broke down crying. All the times I needed help, you guys never cared." I shook my head again. "The only one who tried was Keith... But then I heard that conversation you all had." I took a deep breath. "That hurt, " My voice cracked. "I didn't know you guys felt that." I let out a broken laugh. "I guess I really am useless." I started gasping for breath, trying to gain control over my tears. A sob escaped my throat and I fell to my knees hugging myself. "I-I ca-n't do t-hi-s an-y-mo-re." I hugged myself tighter. I felt warm arms go around me. I looked up to see Keith. Keith's eyes glistened with tears. "I'm so sorry Lance." His voice cracked and his hug got tighter. "Lance, I'm sorry... I love you." He kissed my cheek, still hugging me. We stayed like that. Him hugging me and muttering 'I love you.' I looked at the others. "Still think I have a awesome childhood?"
