Lance's POV:
I stood there as Shiro lectured me for not listening during breakfast and failing the drill. "If that had been an actual situation, you and Keith could've gotten killed!" I shifted looking at the ground. "Sorry." I mumbled. That was the moment where I wished I just kept my mouth shut cause Shiro snapped.
"Sorry?!  You're sorry?! No Lance. Sorry doesn't cut it this time. This-" He gestured to my body. "-needs to stop! You can't ignore what orders you have and then slack off because you don't want to sleep!" He ran a hand through his hair and paced. The others watched him in shock. I felt nervous and empty at first, then I became angry. I glared at Shiro. "And the fact that yo-" "STOP!" Everyone jolted and looked at me. "What now Lance?!" Shiro shouted. "JUST STOP OKAY?!" I fisted my hair. "Look, I understand that I screw up okay! I know I don't sleep and I know I don't listen. But that doesn't mean I do voluntarily!" Shiros expression never changed. He was still angry.
"I'm just goi-" "Enough Lance." Shiro stated sternly. "I don't want your excuses. Just do what we say and do it correctly and we won't have this problem." I exploded. My rage was placed upon them like a fucking mummy curse.
"THESE AREN'T EXCUSES! THESE ARE LEGIT PROBLEMS I HAVE!" I screamed. He took a step back as the others stared in shock.
"YOU KNOW WHY I HAVEN'T BEEN SLEEPING?! I HAVEN'T BEEN SLEEPING BECAUSE OF MY INSOMNIA. I LIED ABOUT HOW I GOT BETTER. I DIDN'T HEAR ABOUT THE DRILL BECAUSE I'M TOO BUSY TRYING NOT TO FALL ASLEEP." I dropped my hands and curled them into fists. "DO THOSE SOUND LIKE EXCUSES TO YOU?!" They flinched and Shiro looked at the ground. I slammed my foot on the ground. "DO THOSE SOUND LIKE EXCUSES TO YOU?!" He mumbled something. "What was that?" I hissed. He lifted his head. "I said No." I nodded. "Now that that's out of the way." I turned and walked to the door. Coran walked in then and noticed my expression. Since he wasn't there for my blowup, he asked me that one question. "Are you okay my boy?" And I just gave him the same answer as always.

"I'm Fine."
