Lance knew he had problems. It wasn't any mind blowing, panic inducing news to him. He knew he had anxiety and massive OCD. He knew he was depressed, but that didn't mean he needed to act on it. Course he never cut or inflicted pain on himself deliberately. He never went to a professional or family for help. Why? Because he ignores it.
He ignores the gut wrenching feeling that something is going to go wrong. He ignores the numbness he feels when he's alone. He ignores it all. He ignores his problems.
Does it get hard to do that? Yes. Yes it does. But he doesn't care. He'll push the overwhelming feeling away too. The problem is that when he does this. He bottles those negative feelings up. So it created this mass of darkness in him that he hasn't let out.
So when they went to an emotional planet filled with emotion-sensing people. It exploded. Everyone everywhere staring and judging.
They told him to get help. That it wasn't good for him to bottle feelings like that up. His last straw was when the queen herself took it upon herself to tell him.
"You think I don't know that?!" He shouted. "You think that I don't know about my depression or my anxiety or my OCD?!" He grabbed a glass and threw it at a wall. Tears of frustration building. "Of course I know about that! It's my body!" A hand on his shoulder. "Lance she was just trying to help." Lance turned. "No Pidge. I'm sick and tired of everyone here telling me I have to get help or whatever. I've been told that before and tired of it!" "Lance calm down right now." A stern voice ordered. Lance looked at Allura. "I will not have you come to any more diplomatic missions anymore. Actually I won't let you come with us anywhere. Do you understand?" Lance closed his eyes and nodded. "I'll be back at the castle." He muttered. Allura frowned. "Lance I didn't mean now-" Lance cut her off. "I know. I just... Don't want to be here anymore." He heard their voices calling out to him as he ran back to Blue. But just like his problems, he ignored them.
