Chapter 1

*SLAM* I shot up with a squeal, drool on my arm, my class roared in laughter as I stared at my teacher whom was glaring down at me "see me after class Miss L/N" he spat as if I had just taken his 99c store tie and shredded it.

"yes, Mr.foster" I yawned before wiping my mouth and glaring at him behind his back.

@-@ she didn't even - what?)

"ugh, he gave me extra homework... and a long lecture.." I groaned in pure irritation to myself as I began to walk home, the sun already setting. "how am I meant to fucking complete my homework if he keeps me in after school...." the street lamps flickered on which gave me a sudden fright from the sudden buzzing sound they gave, I couldn't help but feel like I was being watched.

*another time skip because I'm lazy and don't wish to bore you with unneeded details and yeah im lazy*

on the way home I had stumbled upon a cardboard box with the words "please take".

I kneeled down and looked within the worn box, my mind filled with curiosity when I found a black kitten no bigger than my foot, it looked up at me its eyes were odd, one was pure blue while the other was an amber yellow, its left front paw has light grey fur that looked like a sock. "hey little guy... you're alone too huh?" I gently stroked its fur and it replied with a small mew and a cold shiver. "cmon let's get you home then.." I gently picked up the kitten and stood up.

'I guess life just got a little less lonely... wait am I gonna become a cat lady? ... oh nooooo-- actually I should be fine... I hope..'

as i thought to myself the kitten licked my finger bringing me back to reality "okay lets go home"

After 15minutes of walking, I could see my house from here "almost there little one" I said already out of breath "man I should work out more.." I huffed, I looked at the window of my room and suddenly stopped in place "w-what the?.." there was a tall black figure in my window but within a blink of an eye it was gone, I stood still for a moment then shook my head "I'm just tired..."

*time skip to later that night*

I sat on my bedroom floor (pic in the start of the chapter) "lets give you a name" i said setting down the kitten "i have a few choices so I'll let you choose" a wrote down some names on multiple pieces of paper and set them around the room "okay go pick one"
I wasn't expecting this to work but it was as if the cat understood me and began to walk around the room, i watched in awe as it walked from name to name until it sat on one across from me, its blue and yellow eyes staring me down as it let out a mew "lets see" i got up and picked up the newly named kitten "you want to be named Minx?" The kitten mewed in response "huh and here i thought you would like the name hades" i joked giving a small chuckle "well either way, welcome to the family minx!" I gave the small kitten a kiss on the head and in response it licked my hand "i can already tell we are gonna be amazing friends" i smiled happily as i put the cat down, I then sat on my light blue bed, minx walked around the room exploring all the nooks and crannies.

For minutes I just laid on my back staring up at the ceiling "man today has been strange" I yawned as I closed my eyes eagerly welcoming the darkness "goodnight minx" a faint mew was all I heard before slowly I drifted off to my well-needed slumber
