"How did you know f/cof  ( favorite coffee) was my favorite?" I stared in awe at the coffee laid before me on the marble table.  (too fancy? Ah fuk it)

Minx shrugged and sat across from me "you just seemed like the kind of person to drink it" he said as he set down a small plate infront of me "i also got you Caramel fudge cake" he yawned before finally sitting down with what smelt like mint chocolate coffee and what seemed to be a quite large vanilla custard slice.

"Thank you so much!!" I smiled widely, this is exactly what i needed after what happened early, i picked up a small spoon and used it to eat a small mouthful of the cake minx got me, i teared up from how good it tasted, i have never been able to spare a few dollars to be able to buy any sweets from here, i have only been able to buy coffee once in a while so this was definitely the best day ever. "Its sooo goooood!" I wipe my eyes as i smile at minx.

He smiled back then looked out the window "im glad you like it."

"Is something on your mind minx?" I tilted my head, he seemed so focused on what he was looking at, his black and white hair looked so well groomed and so fluffy it really made me want to mess it up, i shook my head slightly 'im so weird'.

He looked at me through the corner of his eye, "hmm?.. yeah im fine just thinking.." he picked up his coffee and took a sip before placing it back down.

"About what?" I took another mouthful of cake.

"Just i can't help but wonder why the demon is taking his time trying to devour you... it's not just for the thrill of the hunt.. it couldn't be, but he said he was interested in you... meaning maybe he doesn't quite understand how you were able to awaken him... so perhaps he is trying to figure that out before he finally takes the kill?" He furrowed his eyebrows as he looked back out the window.

"Jeez.... you make it sound like you want him to devour me.." minx snapped his head towards me, a spark of rage flickered through his eyes.

"Of course i don't want him to devour you, what kind of protecter would i be if i let that asshole do that?!" He whisper yelled at me causing me to jump.

'yikes... i didnt think i would offend him...'

"Im sorry... i didnt mean to offend you or anything..." i looked down at my coffee and picked it up, bringing it to my cold lips i take a sip.

Minx sighed and took a bite of his pastried sweet "its fine... dont apologize..." he put the sweet down and ran a hand through his hair "im just stressed because usually a demons intention is clear but this one is just so mysterious and its pissing me off."  He mumbled as he grinded his teeth.

I just nodded as i continued to drink my coffee, 'fuck... this is good coffee... like really good...'

"Y/n!" Minx flicked my head making me quickly put the coffee down and look at him.
"y-yeah?!".

"Were you even listening to me?" I nodded so fast that it made me feel dizzy "you were saying how not know what was happening was pissing you off" he raised an eyebrow "am i wrong?" He sighed "no you were correct..." "few.." i leaned back in my chair and relaxed and he did the same.

"Perhaps we should think of a plan to stop you from any contact with demons.." he scratched his neck

"And how do you suggest we do that? Because i dont think i can stay awake forever" i sighed and ran my hand through my messy hair.

"I never said you had to... but just incase you end up getting attacked in your sleep again we need away to protect you..."
