"Man..ikk" I called and started fluttering my eyes because of the light which was hitting my eyes.

I tried getting up but I couldn't. The pain in my body was killing me. The burning sensation was increasing every second.

"Ma..aan..ikk!" I stammered in a low tone.

I felt my hand being raised and a soft, cold lips touching it. "I am here angel." He spoke and started caressing my cheek.

"Nandini" I looked at my left and saw abhi sitting on my left side holding my hand.

"All the pain will vanish angel after sometime." Abhi spoke softly.

"What.. What has happened to me??" I asked as the pain was increasing second by second.

"Nothing. You need rest. So we decided to send you on a long vacation where only you and your sleep will be there." He tried to lighten the situation but failed.

Sleep??

Vacation??

What is he talking about?? Why will I go on a vacation alone and that to without manik?? God this pain. Its killing me. But suddenly?? Wait. Is it because of what happened today.. Downstairs. The bite?

"And manik?" I asked, desperation in my tone was clearly visible.

"Manik needs to stay here and protect you."

"How long?" I asked. I felt manik's hand strangling mine.

"One month!" He sighed.

What??

One month??

I immediately looked at manik. A tear drop fell on my hand.

How we he survive??

How will he fight alone.. Again??

His face held pain. Maybe Much more than what I am feeling. I never wanted to leave him alone again. He was vulnerable and I couldn't do anything. I was helpless. I never wanted him to go back to the darkness again.

I bit my lips to suppress my pain. I looked at abhi. He nodded and told everyone to move out.

"You guys have very less time." He spoke.

"How much?" I asked.

"One hour max" saying this he closed the door.

I immediately looked at manik. He was on the verge of breaking down.

Firstly I need to lessen the pain. I won't be able to handle him with this pain. "Ma..nik. Com..e he..re ple..ase." I spoke with a lot of difficulty. He instantly slid down next to me, taking me in his arms.

I held his hand and brought it towards my blouse. "Remove it." He within no time removed my blouse, bra and pant, leaving me only in my panties. "Yours too" I said.

I pressed my face to his chest as soon as he removed his clothes.

Heaven!!

It felt.. heaven!!

I pushed myself more against him, rubbing my body with his. The pain started reducing but not wholly. And I know it won't.

I looked at him, directly into his eyes which were watery. Guilt was written all over his face. I held his face and pressed my lips on his. I kissed him pouring out all my love in the kiss. I pulled him on me still kissing him. I broke the kiss as soon as I realised that he is not responding to it.
