Your breathing was heavy when you were walking with Alpha team, Piers saw you slowly down "Captain (y/N) is slowing down maybe we take a break" he asked.

Chris stopped and turned around to see you leaning against a wall "Fine 20 min break" he said as he walked over to you "Babe you ok".

You nodded "c-can we talk in p-private" you asked softly.

Chris nodded and walked somewhere private "Alright (y/n) what do you need to ta-" he was cut off by you falling to the ground and coughing hard "(y/n) he said as he walked over to you.

You lean against the wall as you looked up at him weakly "Chris".

Chris sat next to you and pulled you into his arms "I'm here baby" he said softly.

"I'm sorry Chris" you softly said as you pulled your sleeve up to reveal a bite wound.

Chris pulled you in his lap and held you close "what happened?".

You laid your head on his chest "I fucked up chris" you began to cry "I didn't mean to get bitten, they were so many of them".

"Shhh" he said as he held you close as you cried in his arms.

"C-Chris.... I-it hurts".

Chris didn't say anything as he held you close, soon your breathing stopped, Chris looked away from you as he pulled his handgun out "I'm sorry (y/n) I don't want to do this".

Chris looked down at you with tears escaping his brown eyes "I just want you to know I love you so much, I shouldn't have let you came on this mission" he looked down at you slowly opening your red eyes and a low growl.

Chris quickly covered your mouth "please forgive me (y/n)" he closed his eyes and put the gun to your head and pulled the trigger.

His heart stopped when he felt your body limp, he let your body fall to the floor as he looked up at the sky.

"Captain" piers said as Chris stood up fast while wiping his tears away.

"Piers" he said as he walked to the group.

"Where (Y/n)" he asked.

Chris stopped "she dead, she was bitten".

Piers looked at him, Chris grabs his gun "let's finish this so no one else dies".

"I'll be right back Captain" he said as he walked away from the group, piers walked to where your body was, he kneels down and took off your blood dog tag and badge.

Piers stood up and walked over to Chris "here Captain" he said as he grabs his hand and put the dog tag and badge in Chris hand.

Chris breathes softly as he put the necklace on and put the badge in his pocket "let's move out"
