Erza

Okay guys! So this chapter is a little...weird. Not like bad weird I hope! Though, it's like a love square type of thing...but it DOES play into the story later! Just giving you a heads up!

The second I stepped into the guild I was pulled aside almost smashing into the door. The cold hands on my arm were immediately recognizable.

"Gray!" I yelled after trying to break free of his hard grasp, still dragging me. "Gray! Let me go this instant!" I was thrown into a room with only a slightly dim light.

"Erza," he said quietly. "I have a problem."

"Yes you do, Gray," I said, looking around. "What do you want?"

"Well," he started. "I think I like Juvia...but I-I think I like Lucy too."

I stared at him for a minute, "No, you can't like Lucy. She-She's dating Natsu. You know that! That's just crazy, Gray!"

He thought about it for a second and then asked, "Why?"

"The real question is: why isn't it? What are the top answers to why isn't it? Well, since you asked they are: A) because she's dating Natsu, B) she's dating Natsu and, the best of all, C) SHE'S DATING NATSU!" I was out of breath.

"Those are the same reasons, Erza," he said. I face palmed myself and pushed passed him and slid out of the door.

"Hey!" He said. "What do I do?"

I whirled around so that I was facing him, "I don't know, Gray, but I suggest you get over Lucy because she's taken." It was harsh but had to be said.

Later that day, Natsu had found a job with a decent reward. "So, are we ready?" Natsu asked.

Everyone nodded except for Gray. "I don't want to go," he said looking at the wooden ceiling.

"Why not?" Natsu replied with a little help from Happy.

Gray rolled his head over so that he was starring directly at me. "Not with her."

"Oh my gosh! Let it go! I said dragging out the last three words. The others looked confused and it just got worse because of me. "If it means so much to you why don't you just tell her!"

He stood up and tried to look tough, but it didn't work around me. I requiped my sword into my hand and held it up to his neck, forcing him to back up and fall over his chair. I didn't loose my position with my sword. I gave him a long stare while the whole guild stared at us. I bent down so that I was right on top of him, "It's not my fault that you like her that much."

I pushed the sword a few inches closer to his neck while knitting my eyebrows together. I sat up and flipped my hair out of my face, "So, Gray, Natsu, Happy, Lucy," I said with a stern face. "Are we ready to go?"

They were all stunned except for Happy who popped up beside my head, "Aye sir!"

The job took longer than expected. Plus, with Gray being a sitting duck the whole time, we had to cover his butt too. He didn't do anything during the whole job so we didn't pay him.

I really don't know why he was so upset about it. I mean, he helped Natsu get ready for his date with Lucy. He knew that Natsu was saving his money for her! No need to worry though, he'll get over Lucy and move to Juvia. Juvia... If she finds out about this she's going to be heartbroken. I sighed.

Lucy soon found me and we headed home. She looks at me with a concerned look on her face, "What happened with you and Gray?"

"Um," I stammered. "It was nothing."

"It didn't look like nothing," she said, her eyes scanning me. "Erza, what's going on? You can tell me."

"Not here," I said grabbing her hand and speeding to the house. Once we got inside, I bolted the door and shut the windows so that no one could see in. I sat down on my bed, looking at Lucy.

"Lucy," I breathed. "I'm about to tell you something that I'm not supposed to tell you. It's something that might make you hate someone that I know is a dear friend to you." My words began to trail off.

She grabbed my hands, "Erza, it's okay. Just tell me."

I told. Everything that had been going on with Gray liking her and how I backed her and Natsu up. I also told her about why I didn't tell Juvia about this because, well, we all know how Juvia thinks that Lucy is her 'love rival' or whatever. When I was finished explaining I looked up to see that Lucy was expressionless. Was that good or bad?

"Lucy? What's wrong?" I said looking into her chocolate brown eyes.

"Nothing," she said. "Well, yeah, something. I never thought that Gray would have feelings for me. I don't hate him for that, but he should know that I like Natsu."

"You can't tell him! He'll never be the same in the team again. You saw how it went today! It was terrible."

"So, what do I do?"

"Show him," I encouraged. "Show him that your taken." She nodded in response.

The rest of the night went by fast. There was no further discussion in the 'Gray thing' so we got ready for the night and drifted to sleep.

Sorry to all the Gray and Lucy lovers! I just couldn't put them together because, well, this is a NaLu fanfic...
