Ch 3 Part 1: Mate Talks

ONE - LEWIS CAPALDI

Randy's POV

The pack house is buzzing with excitement and preparations what with it being Seth's birthday today and the celebration later on this evening. I just hope his mate is someone sweet like Mia unlike the rest of the females in our pack who are sluts and mean. Though I doubt Mia would appreciate being his mate, but I think she would accept him for the good of the pack, that's if Seth doesn't reject her first. Rejection's are uncommon and frowned upon especially with alpha's and beta's because they need their true mates for the successful running of the pack. And the elders have taught us to accept our mates regardless of their rank and status and that other stuff a person can think of to reject their mate. Also, she-wolfs can only fall pregnant by their true mates and only after they have discovered that they are mates. Basically we are stuck with whoever is thrust upon us but I don't mind, I actually think it's beautiful that there's someone out there who was designed specially for me. I will love whoever my mate is and protect him/her with everything I've got. I may be gay but if my mate is female then I will love her unconditionally, I will make sure that she never feels unloved a day in her life.

Alaistar, my wolf feels the same way. Actually, he feels more strongly about his mate and for some reason, he seems to be on edge today. For some reason he will not tell me why but I have a feeling something huge is going to happen though good or bad I do not know. Let's just say I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst but knowing my luck, it's definitely going to be very bad. Call me a cynic all you like, I've learnt not to expect anything good from this pack. Why am I still in this pack if I don't like it that much? Well, I don't want to leave my family behind, I would miss them too much and my wolf doesn't want us to leave, he thinks his mate is from this pack. I still don't know how I feel about that considering that the members of this pack don't treat me all that well.

Seth's POV

Today is the day I finally meet my mate, I am not ready to settle down but I need her to become a good alpha. I can only hope she's from a good family of high ranks and I pray it is not Mia. She may be future head female warrior and would be a good luna but damn we can't stand each other, we would definitely kill each other before the coronation.

"Oh my baby, you are growing up too fast. Can't you return to my womb so I can watch you grow up again? I'm not ready to see you all grown up, " My mom whispered as she clung to me and cried all over my shirt.

I could only grimace and pet her as she cried herself dry, I do not like seeing my mother cry though she does tend to cry a lot. I looked to my dad, begging for help with my eyes and all he could do is chuckle. Eventually after what felt like hours he came to take his wife from me. Good riddance, I was seconds away from committing suicide right then and there.

"Come on honey, the boy has to grow eventually. You can't keep him from growing up but he will always be your baby boy," he said to her with a wink and a kiss at the end.

I want their kind of love, they've been together for so long and yet still so clearly in love after all these years. They were lucky the moon goddess paired them together, they are an amazing couple, parents and leaders.

"Come son, the ceremony is to begin. Everyone is waiting for us, are you ready for this?" he asked as he clapped his hand on my back, I could only nod. "Let's do this, don't be nervous, you'll do good and your mate will be amazing."

With that said, we walked outside towards the grounds where the pack was waiting and the ceremony would be taking place.
