E: "let's see what happens!"

Death's POV

I wake up in a room I don't recognize. I try to move around but can't. Ropes are keeping me from moving. I see Emily enter the room. She smirks. "Where does your people keep the gold?" She asks. "Why should I tell you?" I ask her. "I'll make your life a living nightmare." She says. "I don't care." I say. She starts to beat me. I hold back my screams. She continues to punch me until the red haired girl comes and holds Emily back. Emily slaps the girl. I glare at Emily and start struggling against the ropes. "Jenae this is what we need to get a better life!" She says. "I like my life the way it is." She says then teleports me to a field. "Are you ok?" I ask her. "I don't get hurt easily." She says. "What about you?" She asks me. I undo the ropes and look at her. "I'm fine she didn't hurt me that much." I say. She smiles and kisses me. She breaks it a second later. "Be careful beautiful." She says before disappearing. "I never got her name." I say.

Yugi's POV

I'm looking for my big brother Adam. He's been gone for 2 days! I finally find him at the lake of enchantment. "Big brother there you are!" I say happily. "Hey Yugi." He says not looking away from the lake. "It's been two days since you left the village where have you been?" I ask. He says nothing. My heart breaks more. My brother didn't keep his promise and now he's ignoring me. "Yugi that's the lake of Enchantment." Grace says from behind me. "I know. It makes the people who look into it want to stay." I say.

I go over to the lake and look into it. I hear singing come from somewhere. It's beautiful. I want to stay and listen to it. I feel someone pull me away from the lake. But I don't want to get away from the lake! "Yugi?" A voice asks. I know that voice it's Adam. I snap out of but barely. I know that it's hard to snap out of the mermaids spell if you have a broken heart which is what I have. "Yes?" I ask. He hold. "Don't leave me." He says. "I won't leave you." I say. "Stay with me." He says. "I'll stay with you." I say. "I need you." He says. "I need you too." I say. He smiles and pulls me close. He the. Takes off running towards the village. I blush like crazy.

"Adam where were you?!" My father asks when he sees us. "The spirits needed to get to safety." He says. I get out of his arms and head into the house and into my room. When I get there I sit on my bed. A girl with greyish skin, golden eyes, and smoke for hair enters my room. She's a dark spirit. She's been trying to destroy my heart for years. "Yugi I hear your brother's back. Shame he didn't come back sooner." She says. "He was busy." I say. "You sure it wasn't cause he was trying to get away from you?" She asks. My heart breaks a little. "Face it Yugi. If you never found your brother he would've never come back. after all why would he come back to a brother like you?" She asks. Maria ,one of the light spirits, also comes into my room. She's been trying to protect me from Shadow. "Yugi Yuki has a big heart and he has responsabilies!" She says. "Yea a big heart that has no spot for Yugi. He doesn't love him. If he did things would be different. He would actually keep his promises and not abandon Yugi." Shadow argues. "But he did keep his promise!" Maria says. "No he didn't Yugi checked the whole village remember? Not a sign of his brother." Shadow says. "He left a note and a rose!" Maria says. "A note?" I ask. "Yea it's on the windowciel." Maria says. I take the note and read it.

Yugi I'm going to be late ,Blue got hurt and I have to take him to the healing lake, but I hope my note gives you comfort. I love you. from your brother.

I start to cry. "I overreacted for nothing." I say. "He always keeps his promises." Maria tells me. "I should've known that." I say. I see Shadow disapper. I hear a knock on my door. "Yugi can I come in?" Adam asks. "Y-Yes." I say while wiping the tears and trying to stop crying so he won't see. My heart is still pretty broken but the rose and the note helped repair some of it. Adam comes in and hugs me. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I was being stupid!" I say. I know he heard what we said. I can't hold back my tears and start crying again. He holds me. "Yugi I will never break a promise." He says. "I know. I was stupid to think you would." I say. He holds me closer. "It's ok to doubt sometimes." He tells me. "I-It is?" I ask him while looking at him. He nods. "We're only human." He says. I nod. "That's true." I say. I try to calm down and wipe my tears. He rubs my back which helps me calm down. "You wanted something right Adam?" I ask him. He pulls an apple out of his bag. "Snack with me?" He asks. "of course!"
