Chapter 6

Becca's POV

I was getting dressed into black short shorts with a white shirt with black vans. I put on foundation over my black eye and I let my hair down. I walked out of the apartment room and bumped into Daryl. "Sorry.." I said and I was about to walk off until he said, "wait!". I stopped in my steps and I looked at him. "What?" I asked impatiently. "Was that guy your boyfriend?" He asked. I shook my head. "No, uh he is my ex boyfriend actually.." I told him walking down at the ground. "Why did you let him hit you? You could've stopped him!" He said to me. I looked at him with a sad look. "Because he is stronger than me..and I'm just too much of a pussy to fight back with him because I will.." My tears cut my sentence. He was walking to me until I hold my hand up to stop him. "Sorry..." I said and kinda school my head and I ran off. I ran outside to catch my breath and I started to walk to the gate. I stood at the gate and was looking at the woods. I remember Sky and I would just walk around the woods while talk and have nothing to worry about. I miss those days. "Becca." I heard someone behind me saying my name. I jumped when I heard the voice. I turn around and it was Sky and Mr.Smith. "Uh..yeah?" I asked her. "We will be back, we are gonna check around in the woods." She told me. "Ooohh can I come?" I asked excited. "No! Watch the place!" Mr.Smith said. I sighed and groaned. They walked out of the gate and I closed it shut. I sat against the gate while waiting for them to come back. It was very bright out, but I heard thunder like a mile away.

Three hours past and I walked laying down near the gate. I was staring at the blue sky after it had rain. I felt someone pick my legs up and sat them down on their lap. I looked who it was and it was Shane. "Hey, can we talk?" He asked. "We are aren't we?" I said sarcastically. He just chuckled. "Good point. How are you?" He asked me while looking at me. "just fine!" I told him. "Beautiful day ain't it?" He asked while looking at the sky. "I guess so.." I said while looking at the sky too. "Who are you waiting for?" He asked. "Just my sister and mr.smith." I told him. "Why don't you like me? First day we met, you were being a bitch to me!" He said harshful. I gave him a look. I sat up and then stood up. "Go fuck yourself!" I told him and flipped him off and then I walked off. Calling me a bitch, who gave you the damn rights? I walking inside and started to walk up to my apartment until Rick stopped me. He stood in front of his apartment with the door open. I know Daryl is in there. "Hey Becca, may I have a word with you?" He asked politely. I sighed. "Whatever!" "This has to do with Shane and-" I cut him off, "I don't like him!" "I noticed, but why?" "I have my reasons, I have my stories, the words he chooses to me is very rude, so I am going to be rude back to him, and I really don't give a flying fuck of what you think about my choices, because I am tired of taking bullshit from everyone! Now bye!" I told him strictly and I walked into my apartment and shut the door. I sat against the door and I heard Daryl's voice. "Shane needs to leave her alone! She seems like she going through a hard damn time right now-" daryl was saying until he got cut off by Rick, "everyone is! They need to be at least friends!" "It's her choice, you can't just boss her around! She the one of the daughters of mister and mrs. Smith! If it weren't for them, we will be out there, getting into more danger!" I got up off the floor. What Daryl said is right! I mean you shouldn't try to boss me around, you are not my dad! I walked to my bed and grabbed my knife. I'm gonna find sky, she have been gone too long! I walked out of the apartment and the hall is quiet. I walked outside and Daryl was across the hard talking to Carol. I opened the gate and shut it behind me and started to walk into the woods. I kept walking, looking everywhere to make sure a walker wasn't nearby. I heard twigs breaking near me and as I turned to where the sound was, I heard BOOM and I fell to the ground. I screamed extremely loud. I looked down and I noticed I got shot in the stomach. I was crying. Mr.Smith ran to me. "Becca? Becca? Answer me!" I was in shock. I felt like I was gonna fall asleep. "SKY LETS HEAD TO THE PLACE!" He yelled. He picked me up bridal style. As they ran to the gate I saw many people there just watching. They walked inside and I noticed Daryl, Shane, and Rick just watching me. Daryl looked at Mr.Smith with a mean look. I blink twice and then all I remembered is me being put in a hospital bed and then I blacked out.
