Becca's POV

~~~~~~~~~~
I hopped into Daryl's truck and we were heading to the CDC. My eyes kept watering up because I remembered about Callie and Jessi. "Wait!" I yelled. "what!" he yelled back. "Callie...Callie and Jessi...we forgot them...we-" he cut me off, "They turned, we can't have 'em!" With those words repeating in my head over and over again, all I can do is stare out of the window and try to hold the tears back. I felt a hand on my knee and I knew it have to be Daryl. "Hey, it will be okay. trust me." He said with his soft voice. "I'm just tired." I said to him sweetly. I closed my eyes but I couldn't sleep. It's like, i'm living in a different world. Callie is gone, Jessi is gone, my family, friends, ex's, Mr and Mrs. Smith, all of them are gone. I just have this group. I opened my eyes once again and I took a deep breath. His hand was still on my knee, so I put my hand on his hand. We aren't a thing yet. I don't think he is ready. I stared right ahead. I kept seeing his head turning and looking at me a bunch of times from the corner of my eye. I hope CDC can help us. I hope there is a bit of happiness there. "Hey Daryl.." I tried to get his attention. I was looking at him. He glanced over at me but then looked at the road. "Thanks, for saving me..and being there for me.." I had pauses when I said that. I wanted to make sure I used the right words. He kinda smiled. "Hey, no need to thank me." He said to me. "I do need to thank you, imagine if you weren't there when Shane basically hold me close to the door...he could have raped me or something.." I said quietly. I was still looking at him. I felt his hand giving a grip to my knee and I noticed his face expression to change to pissed off. "He'll regret it, trust me." His voice sounded very stern when he said that. I looked out the window and I noticed a big ass building. "Is that the CDC?" I asked. "Yep." He answered. We made a stop and I jumped out of the truck and ran up to the building. "BECCA WAIT!" Yelled Sky. I stood there and waited but I also looked at the building. Damn, I bet they have no worries about walkers. Rick, Shane, and Daryl walked past me. Sky stood beside me, and the rest stayed behind me. Rick was yelling to the screen and the man opened the door. "Any of you bit?" He asked. "No." Rick answered. "I'm going to have to take blood from you all then." He said. "Okay.." Rick told him. I have to give blood? I'm not a friendly type of giving blood or needles. We walked in and it is one at a time that goes into this room. Sky came out like it was nothing. Me next. I walked in and sat down and he walked over to me with the needle. I groaned and he pulled my arm out. He stuck the needle in my arm and I yelled out "OOOOWWWW!" He got my blood and he put a napkin thing on it from keeping it from bleeding. I walked out and I saw everyone in this one area that had way too many technology. Big screen, keyboards, touch screen. I walked over to Sky. "Hey Becca!" Andrea yelled across the room. "Yeah?" "How did the needle feel?" "You want me to give you an example?" I said to her while walking to her. "No thanks.." is all she said. "Good Choice!" I said to her. I walked back to Sky. "This place looks safe." I said to her. "It may look safe, but the question is, is it safe?" She asked and walked off. Is it safe? We don't know. We will find out I guess.
