Chapter 18

Becca's POV

I got out of the RV after checking up on Sky. "Is she doing better?" Dale asked. "Yeah, she is back to her old self..cracking up." I told him with a slight chuckle with a smile. He chuckled a little. I climbed up the RV. "Thank you, for letting us be in your group." I told him. "Hey, we own you one! You saved us, so, you can get the drift." He said politely. "Hey Becca, wanna help me look around this highway?" Sky said as she got out of the RV. I hurry and got off the RV and rushed to her side. She put her arm around my shoulders and I put my arm around her back. Im just making sure she wont damage anything else. We started to walk down the highway. "I love the woods." I told her quietly. "Yeah me too. But now, it is dangerous." She said back. I was looking inside of cars as we walked by. Gave me the shivers when I saw some dead people. We walked up to T-dog. "Hey T-dog!" I said to him. "Hey ladies, you doing okay Sky?" he asked Sky. "Yeah, nothing bad, I dont know what they gave me but it knocks the pain out." she told them. All of sudden a herd started to come in. "Get down." I told Sky. I helped her down and T-dog put a zombie over her. A dead one. Eeewww. Gross! Daryl came out of no where. T-dog put a body over him. "Down!" Daryl demanded me. I got down and he put a zombie over me. GROSS! He laid down too and put a body over him. We stayed quiet. The herd was walking very slowly. I tried so hard to be quiet. I was so nervous and scared. Just seeing dead people walking by my face. Terrifying thing that has ever happened in my life. I had a guy zombie on top of me and let me tell you something, it is extremely uncomfortable. Damn, this is a big herd of walkers. I left my knife back in Shane's car. Fuck. There were no more walking past us. I look to my left, and I look down and I seen Daryl looking at me. "Can I get this off of me?" I mouthed him. "No! not yet!" he mouthed back. He got the zombie off of him and he crawled to me. "Don't move a muscle! Stay here!" He whispered to Sky, T-dog, and me. I didn't promise. I looked behind me and I seen Sophia under the car with a few zombies walking to us. She was about to crawl out of under the car. I gasped. "No...no, no, no.." Is all I can say. I shoved the zombie off of me and I got up and started to run to her. The zombies were chasing after her. I ran back to the vehicle and grabbed my knife. I ran back into the woods, after Rick and Sophia. "BECCA NO!" I heard some male yelled. I didn't listen. I have to save Sophia. I was getting closer till they made a sharp turn then I lost them. I was breathing loud. I am terrified and scared. My worst nightmare is happening. I am going to be lost, gonna be starved to death and die slowly. I was walking all around the woods until I heard a branch crunch behind me. I turned around and saw Shane. "Don't worry, Rick is after her! Come on back." He said. I walked past him as he was behind me. I was lost and confused so I let him lead. We walked back up to the highway and Daryl gave Shane a dirty look. Daryl walked up to me and said, "Don't do that again!" I gave him a look. "You're not my daddy, and you aren't my boyfriend so lay off!" I said to him harshfully. I walked past him and Carol was crying. Sky was trying to cheer her up. I walked into the RV and sat on the small couch. Andrea sat across from me. She looked scared. "You okay?" I asked her. "A walker came in and almost got me..I didn't even know there was a herd coming in.." she had the scared voice. "Them things are pretty tricky! One or two was after Sophia..Rick is after her, hope both of them are okay!" I told her. "Yeah I agree!" She said. Then there was silence in the RV. I got up and walked out of the RV and everyone was watching me. I gave a face to them and I walked to Shane's car. I got in the backseat and laid down. I was gonna take a small nap after what just happened. Yeah it is still daylight but I am tired. I closed my eyes and dozed off.
