Stony and Peter - Nightmare

it was a quiet night in the tower and everyone was asleep, hulk was snoring loudly in his room, thor was asleep hugging his pet monster, clint and natasha were sleeping together cause they are a couple, steve and tony were asleep together with steve hugging tony and tony snoring lightly with his arm dangling off the bed, lastly there was 18 month old peter who was asleep too with his spider toy and his blanket but he was having a dream, in the dream he woke up in a field and he looked around
"peter!" a voice says
he turns around to see tony and steve waving at him
"daddy! papa!" peter says and run over to them
steve holded out his hands and peter ran to steve, steve then picked him up and gave him a hug
"hey buddy" tony says rubbing his hair
"hey peter" steve says making peter look at him "do you want a-" the steve was cut off by a shadow covering everything
steve, tony and peter look up to see the sky has gone black, then a black shadow creature came out of the shadows, the shadow creature was the size of a brown bear with big teeth, mouth and dark red eyes, it was drooling and it was growling really loudly
"RUN!" tony shout and they bolted for it
tony and steve ran into the forest with steve holding onto peter really tightly, they ran and ran till they stop to look for the monster
"...i...i think...it's gone" tony says
but as tony says that the monster jumps out of the tree and eats tony
"DADDY!" peter shouts
"peter, run" steve says
"but papa..." peter says really scared
"just go peter" steve says and pushes peter
peter ran and ran crying and scared, he ran till he found a cave hole and he went into it, he was really shaken up and he was crying, he stayed in the cave for a few moments till he couldn't hear the monster so he came out of the cave still shaken up and scared and upset
"daddy...papa" peter says quietly "where you"
he looked around to a what was a forest, now it was a wasteland with dead trees and no grass on the ground, peter looked around tears streaming from his face and he keeps calling for steve and tony, he then sits on the floor and cries
"daddy!...papa!" peter shouts "where...you"
peter cries till he wakes up from the dream, he looks around and starts to silently cry, he then gets out of bed holding his blanket and went to steve and tony's bedroom, when he gets there he slowly opens the door, he goes over to tony and steve but see they are asleep and he doesn't want to disturb them, he then sees tony's hand off the bed and he goes to sit by his hand, he leans on the hand and he starts to drop off, tony was mixture of a heavy and light sleeper so he was asleep when he felt something on his hand, he petted around it to feel it had hair and face, thennhe realised it might be pete so he opened an eye and looked down his hand to see he was right, he then picked up peter and peter freaked out
"peter! calm down it's me" tony says quietly and sleepy
"oh daddy" peter says quietly and upset
he hugged tony and tony holded him close
"what's wrong?" tony says quietly
"dream bad" peter said in tony's chest
"shh it's ok" tony says stroking peter's hair trying to calm him down "you can sleep here for the night"
"ok daddy" peter says and he slowly drifts off to sleep
tony also went to sleep when peter fell asleep and they slept for the rest of the night, the next morning steve woke up and he stretched, he then kissed tony on the cheek and got out of bed, he went to the bathroom to do his bathroom things and when that was done he was going to get peter but then he saw peter sleeping with tony, he smiles and goes over to peter
"hey, peter" steve says picking up peter from tony's arms
peter stirred and opened his eyes to see steve ther
"papa!" peter say happy with tears coming out of his eyes and he hugs steve
"oh what's wrong buddy?" steve says when he sees peter crying
"dream bad" peter says upset
"ok well tell me about it at breakfast ok?" steve says
"...ok" peter says rubbing his eye
steve smiles at him and takes him to the kitchen, he puts peter on his high chair and makes himself and peter breakfast, steve makes himself a cup of coffee and a bowl of corn flakes while he made peter a bottle of milk in his favourite sippy cup and a bowl of coco pops, steve sits next to peter after giving him his breakfast and he starts eating
"so tell me about the bad dream you had, peter" steve says
"dream bad" peter says still a little upset " big field, you daddy there, gave me loves, told me 'do i want a' but big monster, ran away forest, daddy eaten, told me run but you eaten, hid, all alone, cried awake" he explained
"so let me repeat" steve says "you woke up in a big field, you saw that me and daddy were there so you ran over to get hugs and kisses from us, then i told you ' do you want a-' but then i was cut off by the monster appearing, we ran to the forest to hide but then the monster ate daddy, i then told to run and i got eaten too, you ran to hide but then you were all alone and you cried till you woke up, is that right"
peter nods and tears roll from his eyes
"it's ok peter, me and daddy will protect you from this monster and we'll never leave your side" steve says comforting peter "your our baby boy, our son and we love you too much to leave you alone for too long"
"...*sniff*...love you *sniff* papa" peter says
"love you too peter" steve says and kisses peter on the head "now eat your breakfast"
"ok papa" peter says and starts eating his cereal
after peter finished his breakfast, he went to his room to play with his toys leaving steve on his own and then tony woke up, he went to the kitchen and made his coffee
"hey honey" tony says to steve after he made his coffee and kissed steve on the lips
"hi tony" steve replies after the kiss
"did peter tell you about the bad dream" tony says
"how do you know?" steve says confused
"well last night peter came to our room and he tried to sleep by me arm which was off the bed" tony says "so i picked him up which caused him to freak out but i managed to calm him down, he then told me he had a bad dream so i let him sleep in our room"
steve nods and smiles at tony which tony smiled back and took a sip of his coffee
"so what was the dream about to make him so upset?" tony asked
steve told the story what peter told him and tony listens
"and that's what happened" steve says finishing the story "the only thing i don't get is why in dream did i say 'do you want a' in the dream" steve says thinking
"maybe he wants something that been on his mind" tony says "but what?"
"a dog?" steve says
"a cat?" tony joins in
"a new toy?" steve say
"a lovely invention from his genius dad" tony says smiling with steve giving a poker face "ok...not that"
"a sibling?" steve says after a bit and tony looks at him with wide eyes
"you don't think he want a..." tony says
"the best way is to ask him" steve says and he leaves tony to think of other options
steve goes into peters room and opens it to see peter playing with his toys
"peter?" steve asked
"yes papa?" peter says looking at steve
"is there anything you want...for your...birthday" steve says trying to think of a reason to ask
"umm...not for birthday but really want friend" peter says "dog, cat, brother or sister"
"ok just wanted to know" steve says kissing peter on the head "i'll call you later for lunch"
"ok papa" peter says and he goes back to his toys
steve goes to tony who has moved from the kitchen table to the living room sofa
"so..." tony says when he can see steve
"he says he wants a friend like a pet or sibling" steve says sitting next to tony
they think about it for a while on what to give him
