Sonic Boom - Shadow's Day

(I'm doing this cause i really wanted the people who make/made sonic boom to do more episodes on shadow and not make him only in last episode of a season so anyway to the fic)

one morning, shadow wakes up from a good night sleep and he gets ready for his day, the first thing he does is do a run around the sandy plains and he sets off, as he was running he was thinking on what the blue hedgehog was up to since the both of them had a frenemy rivalry with each other and he rarely saw him, the only times he saw him was when eggman set him up or wanted him for something that involved destroying sonic and he despise eggman for that, he wanted to hate sonic too but he really hasn't done anything wrong to make shadow hate him and they did have fights but that was eggman's fault and he preferred having races with sonic over fighting
as he ran he was lost in thought but also looking around the area for anything off but then he spots something, he stops and looks at the sight of sonic napping by a rock
'what's he doing out here?' shadow thought 'doesn't he have a house to live in?'
he sighs then he goes over to sonic
"hey!" shadow says looking at the sleeping blue hedgehog
"not now amy, give me kisses later" sonic mumbles in his sleep and he turns over to his right
shadow faceplams and then he kicks sonic gently
"i'm not your girlfriend faker" shadow says in a not bothered tone
sonic then opens his eyes and turns to shadow who had his arms crossed looking at sonic
"oh...hi shadow" sonic says and he yawns "what's up?"
"i was out on a run till i spotted you here" shadow says "don't you have a shack you can sleep in?"
"yeah but...it's nice to nap away from the others and have some peace and quiet" sonic says
'i know what you mean about the peace and quiet part' shadow says as he leaned on the rock
"so...what're you doing here anyway, aren't you suppose to not appear till the season finale" sonic says
"yeah but i'm the second greatest character next to you so i think the writers wanted a episode about me" shadow replies
"cool...about time they pay attention to you, i was feeling they forgot about you lived on this island too" sonic says
"same" shadow says then sonic's communicator goes off
"sonic! eggman is attacking the town again, need some help here" the voice of amy says
"ok on my way ames" sonic says and turn off the communicator "well i see you later shadow maybe for a race?"
"...sure" shadow says "now go before your friends got worried" he says
"ok bye" sonic says and he goes off
shadow sighs and then he carries on with his run in the plains, in the town and eggman was watching his robots attack tails, amy, knuckles and sticks then sonic appeared
"so what happened?" sonic asked amy as he protect her from a beetle bot
"eggman had a argument with steve and now he's releasing his stress by attacking the town" amy told him
"oh good for him" sonic says after spin dashing a bee bot "i hope he's calm down" he says so eggman could hear him
"well yes i have...kinda" eggman says "just one more thing then i'll be happy again"
"and what will that be?" sonic asked
"destroying you of course" eggman says "attack!" and the robots go after sonic
sonic and the other carried on attacking till eggman ran out of robots and he went off still a little stressed, back with shadow and he was having something to eat since the run made him hungry, after he ate he went out and chilled leaning on a rock, going to sonic and the others and they were eating burgers at the diner
"i wonder what eggman and steve were arguing about to get eggman mad?" amy asked
"i don't know but i hope that him done with today's villianly plans" sonic replies then took a bite of his burger
the others nod then carry on eating their burgers, after eating sonic went off to see if he can find shadow since he wanted to race him, he soon found him leaning on a rock near a cave
"yo shadow" sonic says when he walks over to him "you wanna race?"
"sure...got nothing better to do" shadow says "where is the race?"
"i show you" sonic says and he grabs shadow's arm
he then drags shadow to where the race will be and it was in the sandy plains, when they got to where the start line is sonic lets go of shadow's arm
"we start here and the finish line is the area where you go into the town" sonic says and he gets ready "you ready?"
"just say go" shadow says not bothered
"ok ready go!" sonic says and they race off
it was a heated race with sonic and shadow both entering first now and again and when they got to the finish it was a tie
"nice race shadow" sonic says happily "i...wish i could hug you but it's not your thing...wanna fist bump?" he asked and put out his knuckle
shadow looks at his knuckle then after a few seconds he sighs and fish bumps sonic which made him happy
"you wanna race again, that race felt too short before" sonic says
"...sure" shadow replies and they ran off
after a while they grew tired of running so they sat down on the floor in front of some rocks
"that was pretty fun wouldn't you say?" sonic says to shadow
"yeah...i guess" shadow replies as he was looking in the sky
they both looked at the sky for a while then they both fell asleep without realising it but they didn't realise that eggman was watching them using the spy bot
"it looks like sonic and shadow spent the day together and now they are exhausted" eggman says to his 2 bots
"shall we attack the town while they are asleep" orbot says
"yeah and they won't notice till they wake up" cubot adds
"hmm...i've already attack once in this episode but it was off screen-ish" eggman says thinking "...nah let's leave them, i wanna watch tv anyway" and eggman goes off to his living room
cubot and orbot look at each other then follow eggman to the living room, in tails' workshop and he was busy building a new invention when amy came in
"hey tails, have you seen sonic?" amy asked
"no why?" tails replied still tinkering
"no reason, just wanted to know where he is" amy says 
well...i bet he's busy running or napping knowing him" tails says "and with my tails-made spycopter, i can find out" he says and he turns it on
tails then put on the computer the spycopter to look for sonic then it goes off with a video from the camera on tails' laptop, the spycopter went off on its mission to find the blue hedgehog and after flying for a while it finally finds sonic
"found him!" tails says happily "oh!"
"what?" amy asked confused
"well...he's taking a nap" tails says
"he's always taking naps" amy says interrupting tails
"you didn't let me finish" tails says annoyed "he's taking a nap and he has shadow with him"
"wait...what?!" amy says and tails shows her the screen
on the screen was sonic asleep on his back with one hand on his tummy and the other next to his head while shadow was on his right side with his hands next to him and both of them were snoring lightly
'aww! that's cute' amy thought "i wonder what they did to make them tired out?" she asked
"well knowing those two, i bet they either ran a lot or had a big fight but since both of them don't looked battered or bruised i think they had a run" tails explains
"let's leave them to sleep" amy says "and use the spycopter to spy on knuckles" she says evily
tails agrees and he flies the copter away to find the echidna, sonic and shadow we're asleep for a while till shadow was the one who woke up first, he looked around to see it was sunset and sonic was still asleep next to him, he sighs and decides to take sonic home so he picks up sonic before setting off, when he gets to sonic's shack he put sonic on his hammock and was about to leave when he heard his name
"shadow, thanks for today" sonic says sleepy "i hope we get to hang out again...on your own terms that is"
"...sure hedgehog" shadow says "now go to sleep, it's pasted your bedtime"
"ok night shadow" sonic says and he goes back to sleep
shadow smiles and he goes off to his house so he can have something to eat then head to bed
