Kylo

3 months after The Battle of Hoth

These days I see Han and Leia often. Leia is usually staring out of window, or humming quietly to herself. She's looks tranquil, her face preserved in all of it's timeless beauty, and sometimes I listen closely to try and see if the song she is humming is one that I remember. She never seems to notice me standing there as I listen, which is quite the opposite with Han. Each time I see him he is walking towards me, or sometimes just standing in front of me, reaching out to touch my face. I find myself crying when I have visions like these, even though deep down, I'm overflowing with happiness to have a chance to see them again.

As I meditated, I sensed Rey coming up behind me and I kept my eyes shut, trying to focus on the image of Han in my mind. His lips were moving this time, the words trying desperately to escape. Rey knelt down and placed her hands on my shoulders, before kissing my neck softly. I swallowed, trying my best to concentrate. But the image of Han began slipping away as she pressed her lips in deeper, trailing the kisses along to where I was most sensitive. Finally a small groan escaped me and she stopped.

"Am I distracting you?" she asked. Her voice was a low whisper and her mouth inches from my ear.

"A little bit." I managed to say, finally opening my eyes. Our open balcony overlooked the rooftops which were merging together in the shadows.

"You've been out here for a while." she said, resting her chin on my shoulder and running her hands down the sides of my arms.

"I know." I replied. "I'm just...trying to see something." She nodded. "I hope I didn't wake you." I added with concern.

"No." she whispered again, sounding half-awake. "The bed just gets really cold without you."

A faint light was seeping through the dark sky as The City of Angels began to stir. Chandrila had always felt like home, now more than ever, and every day that I woke up to the rising sun I wondered how we'd gotten this far.

"I think I'll just start getting ready." I said to her, making moves to stand. The marble was cold against the soles of my feet.

"You're seeing clients today?" she asked, sounding mildly surprised. "But it's Saturday."

Asking Rey to leave The Resistance, to leave everything she had believed in and fought for, for me, had been difficult. But she hadn't hesitated when I'd asked, not even for a second.

"One of our busiest days." I answered as she stood there rubbing her eyes. "You're lucky that you only teach kids."

"Teenagers." she corrected me. "Loud, disobedient teenagers."

I couldn't help but smile as she said this as I knew that Rey secretly loved her job. Bending, I planted a quick kiss on her forehead and said "Get some sleep, I'll see you later."

"Okay." she replied as I headed for the bathroom. Before the door closed she quickly called out, "Don't forget, dinner tonight."

"Won't miss it." I called back.

As I entered the arena I was greeted by the familiar sounds of thumps and yells. The bodies of different life forms clashed with one another as each struggled to throw his opponent to the ground, and as I weaved my way around the different battles towards the locker rooms I could feel the blood pulsing frantically through my veins. The smell of sweat swam in my nostrils and as I emerged from the locker rooms I noticed someone approaching me from the corner of my eye.
